What’s worse, not being subservient or submissive, or deliberately doing what she was told not to do, like Eve? Besides, didn’t God know what Lilith was going to be like and do, just like He knew what Eve would do?

The story of the garden is about the perlis of being dependant on others for a living. When Adam and Eve were in the garden they were wholy dependant on God like children are to their parents or welfare recipients are to the government. When they learned enough for themselves, by eating the fruit of knowledge, God kicked them out of the garden for their own good because they were able to take care of themselves. To have them stay in the garden would be like these modern day children who never leave home and end up living their parent’s basement, it is not good for them.

The story of the Adam and Eve in the garden can be taken as an analogy about growing up and reaching the age when you must leave the garden (your parents care) because you have the knowledge and power to take care of yourself. When viewed this way God’s expulsion of Adam and Eve from the garden is a merciful act that promotes the growth of man.

Now how Lillith fits in here, she could be viewed as a spoiled child who leaves home early before learning the valuable life lessons and is condemed to a chilish existance of anger and hatred becasue she didn’t grow up. Much like the Liberals who want to run everyone else’s life but fail on running their won lives.

You’re talking about a person that isn’t in the Bible and never existed.

I know you get intellectual fulfillment out of runnning the same college-freshman-bull-session “serious question” about God over and over again in every thread that is remotely connected to the Almighty, but could you at least stick to stuff that’s in His word?

Eve ate the apple, but Adam was not much better, she was beguiled by satan, he was a coward and blamed his wife. He did not take responsibility for his action either and that’s what got them kicked out...Eve was not totally responsible for losing Eden.. I wonder what would have happened if Adam said NO.

Even I know my children will disobey me and rebel at some point. That doesn't preclude me from loving them, making promises to them or bearing their burdens for them.
