The inheritance tax the Senate Republicans have proposed, with a $10 million exemption and a maximum rate the same as the maximum income tax rate, is exactly what I proposed on this web site.
I just hope the Senate Republicans remembered to index the $10 million deduction for inflation, or else the real inheritance tax will rise every year due to inflation.
They are on the floor making their campaign ad speeches...the outcome of the vote is already determined, so what else would they be doing???
