COLUMBIA, S.C. Â Alvin Greene, the unemployed Army veteran who suggested during his failed U.S. Senate bid that making action figures of himself would help create jobs, is running for office again.
Greene paid the $165 filing fee on Christmas Eve to run in a special election for a South Carolina House seat made vacant by the death this month of Rep. Cathy Harvin.
Cal Land, the chairman of the Clarendon County Democratic Party, said Greene entered the race five minutes after the filing period opened. A primary will be held Feb. 15 with the special election set for April 5.
Greene said Monday he would wait to see who else filed before commenting on the race. He was handily defeated in November by incumbent U.S. Sen. Jim DeMint.
At least the guy is seeking employment.
It’s a little over his head, but if there are enough Charlie Rangel voters in his district , he has a good chance.
Famous Alvin Greene quote:
“Jim DeMint started the recession.”

I wish him the very best of luck. He may be nuttier than a squirrel turd but I want him in office as a Dem.
Isn’t he still facing charges for showing dirty pictures to some women?
I kind of hope he gets in there. Imagine Pelosi and Obama running around doing damage control for this guy!
He could do a Nancy Pelosi action figure, with a Silly Putty face.

Like some of the voters who voted for him said, “He’s got the more black name.”
What more can you ask for?
Good ol’ media. Dems are “quirky” while Republicans are “dangerously unbalanced.”
vote black: vote Greene!
Thanks for the Youtube video. Not sure if people confused this Al Greene with that one.
But please note. Greene received more votes against DeMint than Sharron Angle, Joe Manchin, or Blanche Lincoln received.

In terms of percentage of the vote, Greene (28.2 percent) performed better than Democratic Senate candidates in North Dakota (22.2 percent), Idaho (25 percent), Oklahoma (26.1 percent), and Kansas (26.2 percent).
Go Figure.
Noooooooooooo!
Noooooooooooo!
Quirky? Isn’t this the guy that was pretty much bat-sh*t crazy?
I listened to a live interview of Alvin Greene (Mark Levin’s show?) and there is no question he is an outstanding example of a modern Democrat. Go Greene!
Given the demographics of the two counties that the district is in, there is a good chance that it is majority black.
Come to think of it, I can see Barry and Alvin in a very successful honey wagon operation. I think Alvin would be the brains of the operation.
Swampy, here's our second wind!
