Consequences of a Corrupt Representative in Congress

Heath Shuler won the 11th District House of Representatives seat in Western North Carolina. This election was bought as much as the next election in this district will be bought. Looking below at the 2010 election contributions, Mr. Shuler already has $1,220,901 in place for the 2012 election cycle. Fifty-eight percent of his contributions come from PACs. Since he already has more money on hand than he spent in the 2010 election cycle, he can literally do no additional fundraising for 2012.

What is the first action in Congress that Mr. Shuler is attempting to do (after a senseless run for the Speaker of the House)? In football terms, he is protecting the quarterback. North Carolina is the most gerrymandered state in the union for congressional districts. If you look at the map below, two things are obvious:

1. The Democrat party has no shame.

2. Mr. Shuler’s 11th district is one of the least gerrymandered.

Mr. Shuler is introducing legislative that is not only unconstitutional; it is a direct assault on the voting rights of the people. This attempt to eliminate redistricting in the new state general assembly at the federal level is indicative on how corrupt Washington has become. It is a prime example why the people of North Carolina must stand up and defend our state’s rights against federal tyranny. So the question becomes one of purpose: what is the motive for Mr. Shuler to maintain a gerrymandered voting system that will not impact his next election?

H.R.453 Latest Title: To prohibit States from carrying out more than one Congressional redistricting after a decennial census and apportionment, to require States to conduct such redistricting through independent commissions, and for other purposes. Sponsor: Rep Shuler, Heath [NC-11] (introduced 1/26/2011) Cosponsors (18) Latest Major Action: 1/26/2011 Referred to House committee. Status: Referred to the House Committee on the Judiciary.

Mike McIntyre (D-NC 7) is co-sponsoring this legislation along with 17 other traitors. I do not use this term lightly but let’s look at the definition of a traitor:

One who betrays one’s country, a cause, or a trust, especially one who commits treason.

These representatives have betrayed the trust of their constituents by trying to maintain a system of voter fraud to win elections.

Rep Altmire, Jason [PA-4] – 1/26/2011 Rep Baca, Joe [CA-43] – 1/26/2011 Rep Barrow, John [GA-12] – 1/26/2011 Rep Boren, Dan [OK-2] – 1/26/2011 Rep Boswell, Leonard L. [IA-3] – 1/26/2011 Rep Cardoza, Dennis A. [CA-18] – 1/26/2011 Rep Chandler, Ben [KY-6] – 1/26/2011 Rep Cooper, Jim [TN-5] – 1/26/2011 Rep Costa, Jim [CA-20] – 1/26/2011 Rep Cuellar, Henry [TX-28] – 1/26/2011 Rep Donnelly, Joe [IN-2] – 1/26/2011 Rep Holden, Tim [PA-17] – 1/26/2011 Rep Matheson, Jim [UT-2] – 1/26/2011 Rep McIntyre, Mike [NC-7] – 1/26/2011 Rep Ross, Mike [AR-4] – 1/26/2011 Rep Sanchez, Loretta [CA-47] – 1/26/2011 Rep Schiff, Adam B. [CA-29] – 1/26/2011 Rep Schrader, Kurt [OR-5] – 1/26/2011

The North Carolina General Assembly can address this issue by enacting a recall amendment to our state’s constitution through Article XIII.

Our new US House of Representatives can also take action under the Constitution:

Article I, Section 5, Clause 2: Each House may determine the Rules of its Proceedings, punish its Members for disorderly Behaviour, and, with the Concurrence of two thirds, expel a Member.

I think Mr. Shuler’s actions have earned him a place in history as the seventh member of the US House to be expelled by his peers.

We used to live in Mr. Shuler’s district. Previously the NC-11 th was represented by a gentleman named Charles Taylor. The left pilloried him every way they could think of and by the way still are hounding him.

After Charles lost to Mr Shuler, the repubs ran a loose cannon numbnut from A_Sheville against Shuler. Mumpower the candidate I just mentioned must have been in Shuler’s pocket. He ran no campaign against the most intellectual of all three month NFL quarterbacks.

Mr Mumpower even asked the various republican county committees to sign some oath of fealty to his vision of being a republican. What a complete A$$!

As a result, Shuler had no opposition in his first bid for re-election. He stowed away a large hoard of cash and as such is virtually unbeatable.

Add to the above what IMHO is the root of the problem. Some prominent democrat(s) have a picture of a prominent WNC republican holding what at first glance appears to be a vienna sausage in his fingers, a closer look shows a small boy still attached to the “sausage”. Go figure. Shuler is corrupt and so are many of the other leaders in the NC-11th.

A_Sheville is known to many as Gimmorah to the south, the new colony of the short-haired ladies.

States can’t vote in recall of federal lawmakers. All they can do is vote them out in the election, and Asheville is unready to do that.

North Carolina currently has no recall procedure. I outline in the article the path that we need to take to enact one. The Constitution does allow the House to expel a member as outlined in the article.
