Weasel Zippers notes what curious language this is from a past recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize. Not that standards have been terribly high in recent years (see also: Yasser Arafat, and later, Barack Obama). "ElBaradei's Ultimatum to Mubarak: 48 Hours to Leave the Country," from Israel National News (thanks to Ron):
Egyptian uprising idol Mohammed ElBaradei has ordered Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak to leave the country by Friday - or he will be a "dead man walking" and not just a lame-duck president.
The aging Egyptian leader, reportedly suffering from cancer, insists he will remain in power. He said Tuesday night, "This dear country is my country ... and I will die on its land."
Mubarak dramatically announced he will not run in September's presidential elections, but shortly afterwards, U.S. President Barack Obama dealt him a stinging slap, stating that a transition to a new government should begin "now."...
0bama will have to chastize him about his uncivil rhetoric.
It might cause violence, doncha know.
To think ElBaradei had a role in the inspections.
If M. Elbaradei said that to H. Mubarak while under house arrest, I would bet even money that Hosni outlives Mohamed.
may the fleas of a thousand camels infest their loins....
It is Obama’s support that emmboldens such murderous speech by a man who in the past has been known as a smooth-talker. How long before Obama or his cabinet members start talking like that to Americans?
Or has he already? Obama has claimed to be the man who would send a mob with pitchforks to you door if you did not go along. And what advice did he give his uncle in Kenya, we don’t know directly, but we do know indirectly. Mobs were sent out to harass and slaughter a few of the uncle’s opponents.
A community organizer of the Ayers-Dohrn wing of the Alinsky school will certainly be happy to order blood to be spilled by violent means to make a political point.
Just a peace loving freedom fighter.
But I thought this was “a peaceful transition” to democracy? / sarc button off.
And we want ElBaradei to be the transitional president? A guy who deliberately stalled the Iranian negotiations, allowing them to further progress on their nuke work?
Just by his basic threat to President Mubarak; it is a clear sign of what is to come out of the ‘new’ Egypt and I can tell you it won’t be a peaceful, freedom-loving democracy where all the unicorns dance around in the meadows....
That’s some tough talk coming from an effeminate, former UN punk. I hope somebody over their kicks his goatsmellin’ @$$.
El Baradei is the father of Iran’s nuclear bomb. How fitting that he be in Egypt to challenge the political structure for Iran.
They, Iran, will probably use him as a conduit to get the war infrastructure closer to Israel.
What we are witnessing is a Iranian coup...They need to be smote down a notch or two...
Worst part is it is endorsed by Obama , from OUR White House. He has endorsed the upcoming war on Israel.
Amin Al Husseini seen inspecting his Hanzar Division made up exclusively of Muslims, mostly from the Crotia/Bosnia/Serbia region. They actively lead the genocide against Serbs, Serbian Jews and Gypsies.
Amin Al Husseini meets with Adolf Hitler in November 1942, weeks before the decision to implement the Final Solution which sent Europe's Jews to the gas chamber. The Third Reich provided Amin Al Husseini with a salary and appointed him Head of the Hanzar SS Division. The Hanzar Division was made of Nazi Muslims and implemented the genocide of 250,000 Serbs, Gypsies and Jews during WWII.
Amin Al Husseini shown here on a Nazi poster recruiting fellow Muslims to join Hitler in the fight against the West and the Jews. His disciples today include Yasser Arafat, Saddam Hussein and the leaders of Hamas, Al Qeida and Islamic Jihad.
Amin Al Husseini, future President of the World Islamic Congress (1961) and founding father of the Arab League (1944) inspects his Muslim Nazi troops, the Hanzar Division. Amin Al Husseini making the traditional nazi salute.
Yasser Arafat became a disciple of Amin Al Husseini since the age of 17. Here: recent picture of Palestinian soldiers under the leadership of Arafat making the traditional Nazi salute.
BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA, COMMUNIST CRYPTO-MUSLIM AND POTUS, WORKING WITH HIS FELLOW MUSLIM BROTHERS TO TOPPLE A US ALLY
El Biardi—or whatever—may be over playing his hand. Mubarak has marshalled his own mob which may turn out to be stronger than the one the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood is bringing to the party.
I think its a bit too soon to for the terroist crowd to be counting its chickens—er—goats.
MuBarack is “inspired” by this uncivil talk!
A caller to the Savage Nation who claimed to be an egyptian lawyer and sounded credible said the current call for Mubarak to leave immediately is being orchestrated by radicals who recognize the potential power vacuum, and that the vast majority of egyptians won’t allow their president, warts and all, to be ousted from power in such a disgraceful way. Also, the mainstream media, FOX included are showing edited footage of protestors preferentially showing pre-printed signs in english block letters. Again “nothing is spontaneous” to paraphrase Yuri Bezmenov.
Well, well, well.
bookmark for later. thx
So M. Elbaradei wants to move into power as fast as he can before any other player can organize a campaign. This is not looking good. The Egyptian people should be calling for a vote of no-confidence for H. Mubarak. If there is a vote of no-confidence, a primary should be set with the top two candidates with the most votes going on for the general election.
What I am seeing in Egypt is a decline into anarchy, where a select power group is going to muscle its way into power. This is an insult to Egypt who should be operating as a civilized nation.

—Yep. I was really surprised that even Christiane Amanpour, of all people, was admitting today that the majority of Egyptians didn’t want him to leave power immediately:
