A New Jersey sewer authority targeted for nepotism and corruption has fired at least 85 people, Gov. Chris Christie said Monday.
The Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission, which is in charge of wastewater treatment for parts or all of five counties, is also freezing fees for outside attorneys. Mr. Christie repeated a call for power over the commission's actions.

The word “workers” is one of the most misused words in the English language. I forget who it was that said it but I believe its usage is tied up somehow with Marxist literature and propaganda.
you've noticed how it's used way too much these day?
I found it interesting that the Left have stated many times that taxes will not be increased on "workers" that make under blah, lies, blah taken on face value, "workers" does not include those that live on pensions, SS, saving, dividends, etc...

Same here...I'm really liking Big Boy. Unfortunately, he'll be attacked before this thread hits 20 posts.
I like the guy, too — and I’m not a Chris Christie “fan” at all. I think he has no place in national politics, but he’s exactly what New Jersey needs right now.
The words “Corrupt” and “Democrat” are synonymous.
gives me this disturbing image of Ed Norton wearing a purple shirt...

NJ has too many layers of “government.”
Too many opportunities to pick the public’s pocket.
That has a nice ring to it - firing a shot into the air to scare away the vultures.
Especially when it's so easy to cut a deal with another department head- you hire his, he hires yours. Works best if they've kept maiden names.
While clinging to hope,
I have doubts the NJ Legislature is going to repeal the law that granted the PVW charter...
which means the county and local pols who control the area and make the appointments to the PVW are going to now reappoint the 2nd and 3rd cousins through wheeling deals.
It will be up to some very dirty pols, both Dem and Rep, to act in the publics’ interest here for anything approaching core institutional reform to be set in a lasting manner.
I know at least a dozen people already trying to get jobs there...
Christie also fired all but one of the Commissioners to the PVSC.
