Guess we don’t have sufficient home-grown heroes and heroines here in the United States.
Clearely, however,we’re shortchanging other nations with our domestic policies.
Next time, let’s name an aircraft carrier after an African hero of the Zulu Wars.
You need to go back further, say the latter part of the 7th century of Muslim expansion into Europe. Force did not work so know the Muslims are attempting to out breed and coerce the “Politically Correct” (As well as globalist desiring Muslim assimilation) societies in the Western world.
No, this is not John. Not sure who you’re referring to, honestly.
As I mentioned above, I am not entirely convinced of this either, HOWEVER, it’s making the rounds and seemed something worthy of discussion. If nothing else, maybe someone more savvy than I will dig up more info to share?
LOL...I was only joking...sorry that wasn’t evident.
John Semmons (I think that is the spelling) is well known on FR for his...er...satire, which is sometimes so close to reality as to be indistinguishable.
More than once, I have (as have others) got completely worked up about about some “article” posted, when in actuality, it was pointed satire.
Now, when I get an emotional response from a thread, the first thing I do I look to see if he was the originator.
Didn’t mean anything by it...
Well said indeed.
Too bad they couldn’t name it after the 14 year-old in Bangladesh who was beaten to death for adultery after her uncle raped her.
It means “peace”, ya know
Yes, Neda.
That “outreach” thing again.
Right...Couldnt be a 9 yr old girl from Tuscan
No offense taken, FRiend. I just didn’t recognize the name, and without experience with the individual in question it was hard for me to recognize where you were going with that.
I am HOPING the “article” is poppycock. After all, consider the source. But it’s one of those things that I think we should know about early on, just in case it ends up being factual. And, frankly, I wouldn’t put anything past the USGOV under Zero.
“This step represents transferring the dreams of Egyptian youth from a small stretch of earth to the enormous expanse of space,
That’s exactly what it doesn’t do. Naming a spaceship after a person does not transfer the dreams of Egyptian youth to the enormous expanse of space.
no, no, and no!!!
stay out of it
What about the name “NEDA” ?
Or “Dr Karen Woo”?
The good thing is it will be easy to spot - it’ll be covered from nose cone to tail fins with a big black sheet (there may be a small slit for the navigation radar).
Oh Pulleezz! Just de-fund NASA now! They can’t even build a friggen rocket.
If I weren’t so tired right now, I would have laughed out loud at that, literally. That was pretty slick.
A government spokesman said that he was saddened that he wasn't able to do more.
The family members have already made plans to meet with the Iman from the local mosque.
I was referring to just America.
I understand, but until we do that the toxic waste (and empty containers) sits in NJ...
: )
Yes.
