To hell with Obama! What about us? What about the economy? We are on the brink of a great depression (like we have not been in one already).

Pump prices may put Obama in peril

Every time I hand over fifty bucks for a fill-up, I consider it a political donation.

Well thank God it’s not his muslim communist destruction of America and only gas prices. I thought for a minute his halt on drilling, his allowing Iran to develop nuclear weapons, his fiscal support of union thuggocracy, his failure to seal the borders, his incompetence in both domestic and international policy, his support of third-world communist dictatorships, his destruction of small business, his ridiculous support for green energy..............need I go on?

Oh, for crying out loud - if there’s is ANYONE in the entire United States sufficiently benighted to remain enthusiastic about this utter clown in the White House, gas prices certainly are NOT going to tip the balance.

I don't believe any poll that puts ZERO over 12%.
He has lost his base ans the only ones left are blacks. The vast majority of blacks will follow ZERO over a cliff.

Well, the majority voted for him when he said his policies would cause energy prices to skyrocket. He will probably blame evil oil companies. How many of the brain dead liberals and so called swing voters will even follow the argument?

I don’t trust him. They know that the price of oil is easily maneuverable(even though they deny it). In the futures/speculative market, all they have to do is announce some phony plan to allow drilling and the prices will free-fall.

If he times if for the summer of ‘12 and gas pries go down to $2, the voters will thank him for it. Even though they’ve been soaked for 3 years.

Japan uses 9 percent

I read that thinking, no, that is too high. Let me get the real numbers.

So I went to the International Energy Agency where member countries numbers are published.

I was correct in that the numbers are wrong. But I was wrong in thinking how. The percentage is too LOW.

The last year available is 2008. Oil was used to produce 14% of their electrical energy.

Electricity Total: 998,719 GWh

Production from:
- coal.......288,253....28.9%
- oil..........139,171....13.9%
- gas.........283,153....28.4%
- biomass......15,079.....1.5%
- waste........7,309.....0.7%
- nuclear.....258,128....25.8%
- hydro*........83,295.....8.3%
- geothermal.....2,752.....0.3%
- solar PV.......2,251.....0.2%
- solar thermal.....0.....0.0%
- wind..........2,623.....0.3%
- tide..................0.....0.0%
- other sources....0.....0.0%

if the media told the truth about Petrobas, SOros giving millions, obama on vacations, this is not a business deal except make Soros money and why is the mother in law and the family there on our dime?
If the media told the truth from the get go we would not have had this phony in power.
If the media told the truth over obama, the commmnist groups rallying with teachers etc

If the media told the truth then obama would be screwed

There's a pretty simple solution for Oblama, think about 2008, pump prices peaked in the summer, tanked the economy and tanked McStain. But a year later (summer 2009) he was riding high and ramming through health care and other crap. Then 2010 the "recovery summer" fizzled and he lost the mid-terms.

Now all he needs to do is pump the prices higher for 2011 and let them tumble into 2012 and breeze (well maybe not breeze but stroll) into reelection. Pumping prices higher now is dirt simple, just arrange for lots of unrest in Saudi, pick another Libya-type country to bomb, etc. Remember that all he needs now is an outrageously high bubble to get a massive pop and correction for next year that will cause an undershoot and cheap oil and gasoline which he will take credit for.

Good cause and effect story, but it assumes that obama gives a damn. His media will always cover for him.

Forget price per gallon, use the cost to fill up: About $100 for larger vehicles and $50 for smaller ones. If the average family of four income is $50,500/year, that $50-$100 is very painful.

“Consumers’ pain at the gas pump will likely be shared by President Obama at the polls in 2012 and could cost him a second term unless energy prices take a drastic turn for the better in the next 18 months.”

Or dear leader goes ahead with his plan for totalitarianism in America. I mean, come on, what’s he acted like more? A dictator or an elected representative of his people?
