restore the citys school voucher program, which is popular with parents but opposed by many elected officials. I'm pretty sure this is why Fenty, the previous DC Mayor, got ousted. Too many folks threatened by his stance on vouchers and the no-nonsense lady he had heading up the school system (her name escapes me but I believe she was of Asian descent). Entrenched beaurocrats and unions didn't want to see actual education taking place in their little gutter fiefdom.

President Obama signed off on restricting the city from using its own taxpayer money to fund abortions, and agreed to restore the citys school voucher program, which is popular with parents but opposed by many elected officials. Children and unborn babies don't feel soldout.

I bet they don’t. That is the only way these people should get a voting representative and senators. DC was supposed to be neutral ground.
