The crime against disabled, vulnerable and elders is growing. This is a new wave of income for the crooked lawyers, judges and appointed guardians. The law is designed to steal and they all know the tricks. Watch out baby boomers you are next and my husband is one of them. And many are totally blind to this.

I don’t exactly get the point. The writer rambles. No wonder no one wants to explain things to her.

Read just this little part...you'll get the gist of it.
Not only is it inhumane to continually deny him quality care, treatment and testing but cruel to continue restricting his wife's visits. I am not the one who tried to kill him, his guardianChemung County, and St Joseph Hospital are. Death Panels do exist.

This is what we can all expect from an all powerful government. Power corrupts, etc, etc.

I know but on the one hand she claims they are milking her insurance for all its worth (which would require him to be alive) and then on the other hand she claims they were anxious to pull the plug immediately (which sort of goes against trying to get insurance benefits).
As for the quality care, she does not give any examples. Did he lay in feces for hours? Did someone forget to feed him for days? She speaks in generalities so vague its hard to understand whether her complaints are valid or if they are normal problems that would occur for any other patient.

And the VA hospital system is leading the charge against veterans.
They are incompetent and evil, as well as downright cruel to veterans in their care.

I DISAGREE.
In the NE Fla area the VA system is excellant in extended care. They have nursing homes that are VA approved. The good news is that they monitor the care a veteran would receive and if the nursing home fails criteria or in other ways mistreats the veteran, the VA pulls the nursing home from the list. At leasdt there is a powerful lobby, which includes all kinds of veteran organizations, that monitors.
the VA will also work with the family and help with the transfer.

Hey, give her a break. she has been through hell and back and she is not a young person dealing with the red tape, etc nightmare. No doubt she is an emotional and physical basketcase by now. I am amazed she can be this articulate.

when Christian hospitals —way back when Catholic or Lutheran nuns —ran them—they were awesome!
But I guess our values about caring for the elderly have changed.
