The liberals make Sarah Palin the poster child of the entire Republican Party and then attack her for exactly the same reason that conservatives make Nancy Pelosi the poster child of the entire Democrat Party and then attack her :

Both Nancy Pelosi and Sarah Palin have horrendously negative poll numbers outside of their own fan clubs and the strategy is to keep attacking such an individual while, at the same time, painting that individual as the symbol of the other party.

In an April 2011, 46% of all voters stated that they "would definitely NOT vote for Obama" in the next Presidential election.

How can a sitting President with such bad polling ever hope to win reelection?

Simple. By having the GOP nominate a candidate who SIXTY FIVE PERCENT (65%) of all voters state that they will definitely NOT vote for.

What candidate has such abysmally negative polling among all voters?

Yes, Sarah Palin, just like Justin Beiber and Lady Gaga, has a very dedicated core of fans and all three of them sell out venues every single time.

Even Charlie Sheen can claim to "sell out every venue".

However, compared to the size of the entire population of the U.S., those Fan Clubs are relative small.

Most Americans would not go to a Lady Gaga or a Justin Beiber concert even if you gave them free tickets.

As for Sarah Palin, SIXTY FIVE PERCENT (65%) of ALL voters have stated that they would DEFINITELY NOT vote for her.

The Republican Party makes up only 29% of all American voters. Having Sarah Palin getting 100% of the vote of the "base" and 100% of the vote of everybody else that has not already said that they would DEFINITELY NOT vote for Sarah Palin still adds up to a 65% to 35% electoral bloodbath and the reelection of Barack Hussein Obama.

The GOP needs to get a conservative candidate that does not have poll numbers lower than Osama bin Ladin's corpse at the bottom of the ocean (as Sarah Palin currently has) to avoid the certainty of either a RINO President or a second term for Marxist Obama.

Turn out trumps skewed polling every time, because the motivated voter is a force multiplier. Motivated voters win friends and influence people to vote with them. Fence sitters are influenced by motivated voters.

BO does not have better motivated support than Sarah has. BO’s support is bussed in and bribed. 13 states have passed laws which inhibit phony vote registration, corrupted absentee-ballot process, and multiple ballot casting. The dems are wringing their hands over it.

My question remains unanswered: if Sarah wants to run who could beat her in the GOP primary, when motivated voters are even more powerful than they are in the general?

Oh Poly, you are entitled to your own opinion, but not to your own facts. Since the last Presidential election, there has been no poll taken that interviewed 100% of US voters, ergo, there could be no such poll wherein 65% of ALL VOTERS said they would not vote for or against any given candidate, let alone against Sarah.

This always kills me.

I’m college educated. And I support Palin! In fact, I have two degrees and am working on another.

And I’m about as independent minded as they get. Never received assistance from anyone — worked my way through school, still manage to live as independent from the government or from anyone, except WITH my husband - and we split everything 50% and make all decisions together.

What IS this crap they just seem to throw out about women?

I loathe when the liberal media purports to speak “for all women.”
