There was an attempt to ruin her unlike any candidate I’ve ever seen. She’s earned it. The author can cry me a river.

Well, THAT will get the press off her case.
Maybe she can finally have a somewhat normal family life and sue the jackets off the jerks who won’t leave her alone.

This may be smart business wise but what does it do to the average voter if she runs. Will it make her seem distant and insulated? Time will tell.

I’m not sure what the implications of this are. Obviously, news sources can still mention her name, so there’s no infringement of any right to report on or comment about her. I suppose this would deter people from making hoax claims that Palin endorses something, or from using her name to create a product or service that mocks or demeans her, or in some way opposes her values. There are probably people who would want to market a Sarah Palin sex toy, for example, and this would probably prohibit that sort of thing. I see this mostly as a defensive measure, rather than as some sort of money-grubbing or ego thing.

WAIT, the Liberals all say that Sarah Palin [tm] is dumb and stupid and ..../sarc
And just WHO gets the last laugh?
LOVE IT! The Obummer didn't think of it. Weiner-weiner didn't think of it. The burr under the liberal's blanket did!

From a tread last week:
The bids by Sarah Palin and her daughter Bristol Palin to trademark their names and images have cleared a major hurdle and should soon be approved for the potential presidential candidate and her Dancing With the Stars child.
Sources close to the process tell our Suzi Parker that nobody challenged Sarah Palin's trademark application. Today is the deadline to do so. They also say that Bristol Palin's went unchallenged. That deadline passed June 10.
Each should receive their trademark within three months, said the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

It's a genius stroke. If the libs want to defame her, they now have to pay royalties to do so. And she can refuse them if she so chooses. And she can shut down those who don't play by the rules. I love it. There just are not a heckuva a lot of things I don't like about Sarah Palin. If she teams up with Herman Cain ... Wow! A female governor and black businessman team up to show the nation that minority status doesn't mean squat to conservatives as long as conservative principles are upheld. When they win ... and they would win ... liberal heads will spin and explode.

It is the latest attempt by Mrs Palin to profit from her fame Unlike the sales of, say, Barack Hussein Obama's phony "autobiography", or the Clinton memoirs?

Didn’t Dale Earnhardt do something like this? Maybe he just “trademarked” his signature, or something.
Love to see Sarah send a bill to Tina Fey & “Saturday Nite Live” for every performance. This would be similar to musicians who flip-out on politicians who lawfully use their songs at public gatherings. They b*tch anyway when they don’t agree with the political message (conservatism) that is being marketed.

Good move!
I read here that others in her family have taken similar measures. With the hateful, scumbag socialist left willing to do anything to smear her name including identity theft, she needs to protect herself to whatever extent possible.
(LOL, naturally, the scumbag Euro-socialist who wrote this childish “report” says she is protecting her name for profit... Hahahaaa... Even the Euro-morons who read his drivel understand the real reason she did it.)

This is a very mart move
Too many people will user her name for bad purposes. This gives her some protection
(not a lot, they are libtards after all)
But it will keep Romney’s name out of the news for a couple of days so there’s another benefit
