And - ahem - the Midwest is experiencing devastating floods, bridges out, highways covered in water, and it’s going to get much worse.
Traveling through the Midwest is not such a great idea right now.

From another freeper: BTW the simple answer to why Palin is silent is because Todd Palin has to be there to manage his boats and fulfill his obligations as a license holder in Bristol Bay.The family simply has to be in Alaska. When the Salmon have finished their run in the bay and production of fish moves off Todds grounds, the Palins can continue their tour.Theres nothing unusual about this, anyone whos been paying attention knew it was going to happen. Track Palin is supposed to be taking over, but its not his yet, Todd still holds the license. If they dont fish their grounds this year, they lose them.

But Sarah said “ringing those bells” and her detractors said he didn’t ring any bells. So don’t bring up the book, “Paul Revere and the Bell Ringers”. Or you’re stupid too.

The entire
RCP article is basically speculation. The closing paragraphs reveal the author has no idea what she's up to.
During the initial stage of her bus tour three weeks ago, Palin said that it would still be weeks before she would make her presidential decision, and her husband, Todd, concurred that the final verdict was "a long ways away."
The realities inherent in conducting the necessary legwork to mount a viable presidential campaign, even for a candidate as unconventional as Palin, may compel her to move closer to a decision sooner than she might have liked. But for the time being, she appears to be in no rush to either enter the 2012 fray -- or to distance herself from it.

After 25,000 pages of email were carefully scrutinized, it was discovered that Sarah was a conscientious popular governor who got things done. Meanwhile after scrutinizing a few pages of superliberal Anthony Weiner, other results were found!

Let me guess. “Anonymous source”?

I guess that the MSM hasn't bothered to find out (again) that it's now fishing season in Bristol Bay, and Todd and the family has to work their lease.
Morons.

"IMO she is gracefully exiting the spotlight so as not to take anymore attention away from other Repub candidates."
OH COME ON!!! If that was the plan, she would not have timed the beginning of the tour to coincide with the announcements of a couple of GOP candidates.

“aides had drafted preliminary itineraries”
“Aides,” otherwise known as Andrew Sullivan.

BigTigerMike posted on another thread that it is alsmon season (as mentioned in this article). Todd needs to fish the family claim or lose it. BTW - this years salmon run is the best in three years or so. If things WERE scheduled, it may have been Sarah doing them on her own, and then having a change of heart or maybe they needed more hands on the salmon claim.

“...the Bristol Bay salmon fishing season is nearing its peak...”
I’m from the State of Washington and salmon fish are very important up in this region.
I believe Todd has fishing rights and must use them regularly. No doubt it is a part of his family’s diet and income.

The article was certainly negative in tone, and unfair in slant. From the healine to the final period they were trying to show a pattern that she’s a quitter. I was not aware that she had given her entire itinerary to the public, so how can this writer state with any certainty that she quit?
I hope this means that she is getting in the race soon, the speculation is getting worn.

The bus tour got thrown under the bus?
To: Daffynition
Can all you trolls already posting on this thread try to come up with a new tactic? This is getting ridiculous.
