I bet she is negotiating the outcome of the GOP primary with Rick Parry. To what end, I do not know.

Secretary of Energy, I bet. And it would be the right thing for her. A good performance there would put to rest a lot of the inexperience/quitter chatter. A Senate or House seat would be good too, but the Alaskans seem so pissed at her that it appears to be out of the question for the time being, and a loss in her home state would be highly damaging. So a Cabinet post is the best option for her.

Can you imagine what a strong position she'd be in as a highly successful two-term Governor and/or Senator in say, 2020 or 2024, who told John McLame to take a hike when he tried to pull her up from the JV too soon?

Your post struck a chord with me. This makes sense to me. I have always felt that Palin had a different path to follow. Perry is definitely the media/kings of the earth pick.
