Eight players from the Mexican national team have been sent home in disgrace after allegedly inviting prostitutes into the team's Copa America training camp.
The eight - Jonathan dos Santos, Nestor Vidrio, Javier Cortes, David Cabrera, Nestor Claderon, Israel Jimenez, Jorge Hernandez and Marco Fabian - were dismissed on Tuesday, just hours before the team were due to fly to Argentina for the start of the Copa America from their training base in Ecuador.
They were caught after some members of the squad reported that some personal items, including laptops, iPads, mobile phones and cash, had been stolen from their rooms.
After an investigation, CCTV footage provided by the hotel subsequently showed a member of the Mexican side's staff chaperoning prostitutes into the players' rooms.
"We have videos of the women going into the rooms, brought in by a team manager of the Mexican national side," hotel manager Robert Ramia said.
He then went on to reveal that cleaners had found condoms and discarded room keys in a waste bins in the room of two of the players, Jonathan dos Santos and Nestor Vidrio.
With the departure of the eight players, Mexico's squad is currently down to just 14 for the Copa America, which starts on 1 July, and their preparations look in disarray.
This is the second major scandal to hit the country's national side in less than a month. Early in June five members of the country's CONCACAF Gold Cup squad tested positive for the banned substance clenbuterol - though all were subsequently exonerated after it was found they had ingested contaminated meat.
But did they send them home in spanish.
