believe me, I love my diet Pepsi, but this study rings true...there has been talk over the years that whatever they put in diet soda, it still raises blood sugar, and increases apetite....
I certainly haven't lost weight drinking diet soda, or skim milk for that matter...
my husband has switched to regular Coke....and a few weeks ago we switched to regular whole milk, after reading on FR that they have additives in skim milk....

We haven't counted calories or monitored our weight since we switched from “health food” to real food. We have continued our normal exercise routines and avoid HFCS and hydrogenated oils. That means we cook a lot of our own food, which is also much healthier. We drink whole milk, eat dark chocolate, and indulge in red wine every now and then. My in-law’s kitchen is filled with no-fat, low-fat, low-cal, sugar-free processed foods that have ingredients lists miles long. They both constantly battle their weight while dipping carrot sticks in fat-free, MSG riddled ranch dressing.

I’m not insinuating anything, but personally, I tried diet soda exactly once. It had such a chemical, unnatural taste to me that I had no desire to ever drink another one.

Only sugar can raise your blood sugar. So if you chug down danish with that diet soda you might find yourself gaining weight.

I watched a show on the Discovery Channel some time ago and they said way back dairys sold skim milk to farmers to feed to their hogs as it was thought to be unfit for human consumption. Still is as far as I'm concerned. I drink Half & Half - milk so thick, you can almost chew it.
