Decision day is rapidly approaching for Sarah Palin, and for the first time the former Alaska governor has indicated a time frame for when she will make a decision about whether to run for president.

"You know, August and September, you do have to start laying out a plan if you are to be one to throw your hat in the ring, so that's basically the time frame," Palin told Sean Hannity during an appearance Wednesday night on Fox News.

Bristol has already let the cat out of the bag...she’ll run for president....nothing will change that...Todd said the family is all for her running for president.

You could leave out the almost delusional, they think they have a mystery voodoo wand that will force you to vote the way they wish so they can overcome the 26% that say they would not vote for her. Worked out well when McCain tried it.

Fast and furiousGate and Obama’s corruption and watergate thread gets bumped off of breaking news for Palin’s 15th thousandth she may run she may not; turned diva-like announcement? I like Palin’s politics but crap or get off the pot, already. Have a zillion threads talking about whether she will run or not with all of the adoration that has morphed into Palin worship and conspiracies; complete with flame wars against all those that don’t think she has the best executive experience over ALL and Jesus. But is this really breaking news?Especially over GunwalkerGate?

That would be true if there was no interent, no talk radio, and no Fox.

She would receive instant recognition as a candidate because her “Q” rating is positively enormous.

Sarah is my choice.

My hope is if we get a "Tea Party" type candidate, they will run on the Republican ticket. I don't think another "Tea Party" person would throw themselves in the ring as a third party. Maybe I am giving too much credit to common sense. But, that is just my humble opinion.

Talking through your hat, there is no expiration date, those charges can be extended at anytime pending judges approval and new charges can be filled, the law was posted here a while back. You missed it.

I’ll lose all interest in her if she doesn’t announce at this point. She’s taken it this far to where she has played with people too much where if she doesn’t announce soon she can forget having the influence anymore. If she’s not going to run she should have announced it already. I think past August is too much and she can stay away.

U got it all wrong....Shes in the drivers seat and shes playing them like a Stradivaris...Not costing her a nickel (or us that will be supporting her)....Free publicity...No need to spar with other republicans that don't stand a chance and are dying by the wayside....

Shes making us wait till Christmas morning to open our presents!!....the build up will be timed perfectly!!......She knows her history...shes just keeping her powder dry till she gets maximum advantage...

Shes in it to win the Presidency!!...not satisfy the MSM or the impatient public...Watch as this unfolds...it's gonna be a lesson in political strategy that will long be remembered as brilliant...

Its probably going to be a Perry/Palin, Palin/Perry ticket.

But someone mentioned something earlier and i agree. There is too much going on with Obama right now. No need to suck up oxygen. She has a movie coming out for the base, she is showing up in carefully selected locations and it is still fishing season.

Many of the candidates do make good advisors. I would love to see Cain run Commerce. Bachmann the Fed. Santorum HHS. And if Palin wasn’t on the ticket, let her run the EPA.

You’re right- Bristol and Todd have both already told us what she will do; now the only question is when.

Why waste time and money now?

No one is really paying attention to the race beyond political junkies. And she has the name recognition and celebrity to afford to wait out the silly season.

The Attorney General is the arbiter. There is no reference in the statue to a judge having the authority you described. Care to cite supporting legislation or case law?

However a Former Employee may seek an advisory opinion from the Attorney General regarding the law. Said opinion binds the State.

Look deeply into your crystal ball and tell us what you think you know concerning communications between Gov Palin and the AG.

Timing considerations aside, she probably still wants to see how it shakes out with Perry.

I agree. She also said, paraphrasing the same line she was quoted saying in the Newsweek article, "I'm not egotistical enough to think it has to be me." She then went on to detail the qualifications she's looking for in one who might step forward and carry the banner. The most telling qualification she stated was "executive experience." I think that was a direct jab at Bachmann, and a hat tip to Rick Perry. IMO, if Perry doesn't step into the race, it increases the likelihood that Palin will. If Perry does declare, it's looking more likely that Palin might endorse and campaign for him.

The law has been posted here and it said, on application to the judge and that new evidence could be submitted and charges file are modified at any time. There is no such think as an arbitrator to the law. The law is the law.

Some pundints have said that late comers to the campaign don’t do well. Palin is the exception. She has been a factor in this campaign already. She has cast a large shadow ever since 2008.

Hence, a late announcement will not affect her at all.
