Decision day is rapidly approaching for Sarah Palin, and for the first time the former Alaska governor has indicated a time frame for when she will make a decision about whether to run for president.

"You know, August and September, you do have to start laying out a plan if you are to be one to throw your hat in the ring, so that's basically the time frame," Palin told Sean Hannity during an appearance Wednesday night on Fox News.

I agree. Let every conservative in the race, but if you aren’t cracking 15% the week before Iowa, get out. We don’t need the conservative vote split 12 ways so Romney walks to the nomination with 25% of the vote. I could get behind Bachmann, Palin, Cain, or even Santorum, Perry or Pawlenty if it came down to it. Bachmann is my first choice in the current field. If Perry and/or Palin get in the field, they would have the opportunity to get my first choice, depending on their platform and debate performances. Romney needs to be stopped. I am sick of having to chose between 2 Wall Street puppets.

Getting to be like a girl who kept saying she’d get back to you on whether she’d go out with you.

Like the young lady’s voice mail back in the day ...

you have 30 seconds to leave your message and I have as long as I want to call you back.

She never called.

She’s not running. Bill O’Reilly and “Dick” Morris told me so! And by the way, there I trust she knows what she is doing.

Funny, Romney's bots and the Obama Regime told me the same thing. With so many votes in the same direction, how could they all be wrong?

Palin is probably waiting for Perry to establish his credibility so he will make a perfect — and willing — vice presidential pick to run with her. No way would she be second place on the ticket again and Perry makes a nice back-up for those who might still be a bit squeamish about her being prez. She will announce and and make a very grand entrance IMHO.

Who knows? Maybe she just wants to enjoy a little bit more of summer with her family before she faces the media “Firing Squad”! She knows she will be the biggest target and a popular one....(Heck SNL will probably drag out Tina Fey for the whole season to have a Palin Bashing skit every show).

"When the GOP screws up the debt ceiling negotiations, Palin will be there to grab the momentum and use it to launch her campaign."

I've made similar observations since this debt crisis started. Sarah should wait and see how this plays out, it will be very revealing. And I think she has legal issues that would hamper her if she were to enter the race prior to Aug.

Getting to be like a girl who kept saying she’d get back to you on whether she’d go out with you.

Cool metaphor.

Let's try this one.

The early entrants, the candidates who have already announced, remind me of the girl who did much more than just go out on the first date.

I think her strategy of waiting to get in was a good one. However, now that Bachman is picking up momentum, I think it is important for Palin to go ahead and get in.

I must admit, I was a bit skeptical about her, but over the last few months the way she has handled the media and the positions that she has publicly released have really spiked my interest in her as a candidate.

I would still like to see Herman Cain get the nomination, but I think he and Palin would make a great team - regardless of which one is in which role. Same thing goes for Col. Alan West.

She does know what she’s doing. She’s probably both the best strategist and retail campaigner we have.

And to go along with all her own campaigns in AK, she’s got the rare experience of campaigning for a national general election and of all that Mama Grizzly and Tea Party supporting over the past two years.

The more time she takes the more certain I am that she’s going to have all her ducks in row.

If she enters early, people will blame she had stolen limelight from them. Now she had given enough air to others, later she will suck AIR and LIGHT from rest of field.
Other can enjoy AIR and LIGHT till it last.

I’ll be glad when she finally makes up her mind. This “will she” or “won’t she” is getting tedious.

If Perry does declare, it's looking more likely that Palin might endorse and campaign for him

And it would be sweet justice if Perry then picked Palin for VP and they won.

Little or nothing regarding Fred Thompson occurs at the speed of light.

Well THAT's true. What I meant was this 'is she in, is she out' coyness that he did too.

My take-away was that a candidate would actually need to be IN during Aug and Sept so the decision would have to come BEFORE Aug. & Sept.

When did Reagan announce?

Let every conservative who wants to run get in the race, state their positions clearly and IN DETAIL, and then let us get behind the most conservative that can win so that we don’t end up with another mushy nominee like Bush/Dole/Bush/McCain/(Romney).

Absolutely!

If she announces right after the straw poll, it will pretty much make that a distant memory, negating any bump the winner got from that.

As a Mom she had to go through the daughter getting in trouble with the wrong boy, and she handled it.

As a Wife she has a spouse she really relies on who is not just window dressing, a strong marriage.

As a Woman she went through how many colleges? And still managed to get herself to this point in life, go-getter.

If Palin is the best we can do for President, we did good.
