The only thing that has kept the stock market from a panic is the few holdouts in the House that don’t want taxes raised.
Businessmen of wall street understand companies go bankrupt and default all the time, it’s expected. It’s more taxes being thrown into a black hole of debt that would unnerve the markets.
Of course, what would Congress know about running a business unless it had ‘incentives’ ‘special tax treatment’ ‘bailouts’ ‘protections’ ‘lobbyists’ ‘exemptions’ involved.
Obama himself is one turd of that political system....
Well, what 0bama really meant by having the “capacity” to pay bills is the ability to raise the debt ceiling and keep borrowing. In the twisted financial minds of many in government, deficits don’t matter if you can continue to borrow.
We don’t have a AAA political system because our President is running up debt at a D for default rate.
The Dems are the only brain dead specie who love democracy when it gives them power and then hate democracy when it takes it away or just threatens to take it away.

That said, we’ve got to be more unified in opposing him. He and the press got a golden opportunity this week to show the GOP circular firing squad in action, and of course that was trumpeted all over the place.
We need to get our forces aligned and stop giving him an opening.
That said, I think he plans - and has been planning all along - to do something “unilateral,” because that’s the Alinsky way (and I’m sure Bill Ayres is whispering in his ear every day, because Bambi is dumb as a post and only does what he is told to do for the leftist cause).
The Dems won’t oppose it at all. The question is whether the GOP will be united enough to oppose it and get the kind of popular support necessary to make him STFU. Not if we keep on the way we have been going...
