[Reagan could NEVER have survived on FR as a candidate.]

That's very true! He would not have been “Conservative” enough, and his former Democrat status and Pro-Amnesty beliefs would have disqualified him as “Impure”.

The most conservative candidate who can win the general. And his name is Rick Perry.

Palin will be handwritten by myself if either of these RINOs are chosen

Another Obama voter chimes in.

OK, this is staring to sound a little Ron-Paul-fannish.

dan-o come on. You have to have some principles at some point. I don’t see how voting with your conscience gets you a vote for Obama. I would rather go to Heave than Hell quite frankly. Voting for Sarah at least ensures that my principles are not questioned. You know I am right.

I agree with your take on that. Fresh water supply is becoming a greater problem all the time.

From a state that has gone the route your state is considering, I urge you not to go that route.

Southern California benefits from an aqueduct that moves water from Northern California on down.

When this was initiated decades ago, the water supply in the Northern part of the state was quite robust. As the population in Southern California grew, the water needs grew. And by agreements initiated decades ago, Southern California is able to at time supersede the needs of the Northern California, so much so that some lakes in the north suffer extreme circumstances at times.

I don’t want to see that model instituted and played out elsewhere. In fact, I would like to see Southern California develop a robust desalinization industry, to relieve our water demands on Northern California.

Living in Southern California, if I advocate that for us, I don’t think it’s out of line to back that same policy for other areas in states that could benefit from it.

Those are my thoughts on it. I appreciate your response.

I’d vote for Obama. Rommney/Perry? Two RINOS.

Too late. Here in Texas (and I'll use our Colorado river basin as an example) when the Highland Lakes were built in the ‘40s, agreements were made with agricultural interests along the coastal regions. (mostly rice)

Whether the lakes could afford to release water down stream, by contract, they were required to do so.

Even though we are in a severe drought (perhaps the worst ever) today and the outflow into the Gulf of Mexico is pathetically low, plans are being made for building coal plants along those same regions that would require more water from the basin. (studies for this project based on ‘50s drought of record, survey)

Again, this is due to an ever and rapidly increasing population that needs, not only more water but, more energy.

Can you say, Desalinization?

Sadly, I wouldn't vote for either one.
After all of this time with the established political parties Americans aren't going to get anything other than yes men and progressive Republicans for candidates on the right. It's the mind frame of establishment members who think that only "moderate" candidates can win. For there to be an actual change there is going to have to be a change in voter's minds.

Write It In!

Any new direction for America has to come from the American people. If things are going to change it will have to take place outside of the two political parties.
And the only way I know for that to happen is through a national campaign of writing in the individual candidate of choice for POTUS.

Write It In!

Establishment Party members fear the power of the American voters. The voters have the power to annihilate any candidate proffered by either Party and the political establishment of each. All the voters need is a reminder that they have the keys and are able to keep the kids from crashing the car. It's time for Americans to tighten the screws.

Write It In!

This is an excerpt of an hour interview with Perry. Bill White’s team put out this video, but it’s only clip I could find of a LONG interview and I only wanted this portion anyways.

http://vimeo.com/15914630

that is the whole interview...of course the first clip is more sinister and dramatic, but it is a legitimate clip of the interview, nothing he said was altered.

I agree with you. What’s the use in voting for an open borders guy when we all that those illegals that he doesn’t want to deport and even allow more in, will translate to a DEMOCRAT society. 50 million more Democrats means bye bye Republican party and bye bye U.S. At least if Obama is re-elected, it could spark a civil war and we at least stand a chance to save our country. Perry would lull the Repubs back to sleep while he quietly increases foreigner presence in this country. Not to mention is love affair with big business. People will be screaming for a Democrat turnover in 4 years. I will NEVER vote for Obama, but at this point, I can’t see me voting for Perry either. I’ll write Palin in. I’m SICK of holding my nose and voting. SICK OF IT......out of 300 million people, we CAN find someone who is conservative at LEAST 70% of the time. Crap on settling for less than that. I’m done with it.
