Was Obama an Indonesian citizen? Evidence raises concerns over presidential qualification.

Evidence continues to mount that President Obama was adopted by his Indonesian stepfather, Lolo Soetoro, raising concerns over his presidential eligibility.

Obama’s American mother, Ann Dunham, separated from her first husband, Barack Obama Sr., in 1963 when the president was 2 years old. Dunham and Obama Sr. are reported to have later divorced.

In Hawaii, Dunham married Lolo Soetoro, an Indonesian, in 1965 and moved to Indonesia in October 1967.

Divorce documents filed in Hawaii on Aug. 20, 1980, refer to Obama as the “child” of both Soetoro and Dunham, indicating a possible adoption in the U.S.

The divorce records state: “The parties have 1 child(ren) below age 18 and 1 child(ren) above 18 but still dependent on the parties for education.”

Missed the point. We’re talking about Obama telling us it’s clear and sunny AFTER he covered all the windows with opaque black paint and locked the door. In the cases we can check he’s lying; in the cases we can’t check we, we’re barred at every turn. Half of us are saying open the windows and unlock the door. The other half is gloating over the opacity.

I disagree that this is the case.

Have you never seen the list of all the Obama documents that are off limits? It’s very extensive. Do you honestly support that kind and degree of blackout?

If so, you are one of the trusters. You accept what Obama says and want to move on. Others of us would like to see some of his hidden records. We pay his salary, which is dwarfed by what we pay for his and Michelle’s lavish lifestyle. We want to know more about our employee. Obama’s supporters tell us to shut up and remember our place. We are serfs and he is the overlord; we’ll take whatever crumbs he deigns to give us and like them.

Eventually, this will have to be decided by the Supreme Court.

How right you are. I heartily concur. Furthermore, that is all I and some 50 Million other Americans are really asking for.

The SCOTUS (and lesser courts) have gone out of their way to deny a hearing on the merits to those cases brought before them. Since the cases of Obama's constitutional eligibility have yet to be given a fair hearing on their merits, no one, whether on this site or elsewhere, has the right to discount my opinion on the matter, which is that whereas I am a Natural Born Citizen of the United States, Barack Hussein Obama, Jr. is not.
Therefore, it is an open question; an entirely valid question.

I am sufficiently experienced to realize that I might be wrong. I am also aware that only the courts can tell that to me and to the other 50 million Americans who need this point clarified to prevent ad hoc interpretation of the Constitution of the United States by anyone with enough money to beguile the gullible.

I am against birthright citizenship. The Founders never defined natural born citizen beyond what is in the Constitution. Today, anyone born on US soil (with a few exceptions pertaining to diplomats) is a US citizen. That is the current law of the land. Eventually, it will be up to SCOTUS to divine the intentions of the Founders on jus solis citizenship.

If I had asked, ‘Are you in favor of birthright citizenship’, you would have answered my question twice.

The actual question I asked, you have avoided like the plague.

FW, I suspect and fear that this question of what a Natural Born Citizen is, is beyond resolution until AFTER Obama leaves office. The SCOTUS has a morbid fear of the issue and wants it well clear of an election. I think they, like everyone else, anticipate that Obama will be gone after 2012, and that a properly brought case can be heard on the merits at or after that time, without the specter of political involvement by the Court in an election.

The case, should it be heard, will probably not even involve Obama. If it isn't heard, our place in the world as a constitutional republic will be irreparably weakened, if not altogether lost.

Of those documents, how many are related to eligibility for office?

i>So it still doesn’t matter, unless he enrolled at Occidental on a foreign student visa or obtained funding based on being an Indonesian citizen studying in America

Enrolling in Occidental as a "foreign student" wouldn't change his American citizenship (assuming he was born in Hawaii).

It would make him guilty of fraud, however.

I agree with everything you wrote. Everything. However, it’s beside the point of what I’m asking certain posters on this thread. I’m asking them if *they* were Founders, would they have selected language intended to enshrine the right of foreign enemies to father future presidents, or would they, as Founders, have selected language designed to limit POTUS to the offspring of American citizens. Not hard, not complex. But so far unanswered.

How would I know? The whole point is that they’re under lock and key. For some reason you’re deeply invested in protecting and defending the facts as Obama and his supporters have presented them. Others, such as myself, have less faith in Obama’s and his ally’s honesty and integrity. We want to see the mountain of records that has been placed off limits. You’re asking me to use a crystal ball and tell you what is on these documents. Are you unaware that you come across as an Obama enabler???

I did not ask you what was on any of the documents. I asked:

“Of those documents, how many are related to eligibility for office?”

Or are you asking for catre blanche to go on a fishing expedition though anything and everything in the hopes of just maybe finding something?

What you say just reinforces my belief that this charade was set up and is being managed by more than just Obama. We know his enablers are connected with Soros who has/had connections to international bankers. The whole matter is connected with the intent to bring down the structure of the USA Constitutional government. The sooner it is realized by the public that all these shenanigans are beyond Obama the better it will be towards restoring what has been lost and is being lost from our Constitution to the New World Order.

I’m asking, as one of the people who pays for Obama’s over-the-top taxpayer funded lifestyle, to see some of the documents he’s placed off limits. You want him to continue to give the middle finger to people who have questions about his hidden records. So do Obama’s vast array of supporters. They portray anybody who wants to see anything more than Obama wants us to see as stupid racists. In their minds, there can be no legitimate reason to see more of Obama’s records. I see it otherwise.

While you’re running interference for Obama, answer this. Did Obama apply to Occidental as a foreigner? If you say no, please provide definitive documentation that can be objectively examined. Thank you.

You may have a point. Would his adoption in Indonesia, coupled with his registration as an Indonesian citizen make any difference? Still just fraud?

Let's try this from another point of view...

What was your opinion of the daily rape and body cavity search that the media gave to Sarah Palin?

Were you OK with that?

But to answer your question about Obama and Occidental, I do not know.

It matters whether Obama applied as a foreigner or not. Other aspects of his past matter too. Conservatives should not bash other conservatives for wishing to see documentation of a man as dishonest, slimy and manipulative as Obama. That’s what liberals are for: to attack conservatives for asking to see parts of Obama’s records that could shed definitive light on what kind of scam the liar is pulling this time.

The Republic was never intended to serve as a fiefdom for an autocrat. We the People should certainly be allowed to request and examine important records of the man who occupies the highest office of the land. It’s understandable that Obama’s supporters would attack us for wishing to verify the Liar’s stories. It doesn’t make sense for conservatives to attack their fellows over this issue.

Why would his Occidental college records affect his NBC status if NBC status is a function of either birthplace or parentage (or both)?

But even if he was, the Indonesian laws in effect at the time would not of automatically granted Obama Indonesian citizenship.

It may very well have. I have seen it reported repeatedly (which of course doesn't make it necessarily true) that under Indonesian law, if a Man marries a woman, Children under five are automatically adopted.

With respect, that makes zero sense. Obama was back in the states by 1971 and never lived with Soetoro after that, so why would Soetoro go to the trouble of adopting him in a foreign country?

If the commonly repeated meme (that Adoption is automatic for children under five) then it was no trouble at all for Lolo. Other pieces of evidence that Indicate Obama was adopted under Indonesian law was his name on a school ledger (again, another meme is that only Indonesian citizens could attend Indonesian schools) His crossed out name on Ann Soetoro's passport (Soebarkha) has been alleged to mean "Son of Soetoro" in the Indonesian language. (I even have a link for that.) and the fact that he was listed on the Divorce records as being still a dependent of Lolo. Put it all together and it makes a decent circumstantial case that Obama was adopted in Indonesia.

And why would grandparents formally adopt a grandson? To what purpose?

To gain legal guardianship and undo any damage caused by him being a naturalized Indonesian citizen.

Sven Maggnuson, (sp) has several times postulated the theory that Barry became the client of a Child Repatriation organization headquartered in Connecticut, And that they are responsible for getting the abandoned children of Americans back on a sound legal footing in this country. He points out that they could get a social security number for Barry (from Connecticut)as part of the service they performed.

I don't know about the whole theory, but until I see some more information yea or nay, I am keeping it in the back of my mind. In any case, it is reasonable to think the Grandparents would acquire some form of legal guardianship during the many years they had Barry after Stanley Ann left him with them.
