After a dizzying day that saw members of her inner circle threaten to pull Sarah Palin's participation in a rally Saturday in Indianola, Iowa, a source close to Palin confirmed to RCP that the former Alaska governor will in fact attend the Tea Party of America event, as scheduled.
"We had some long discussions with the organizers; we talked about our concerns and worked them out, and they stepped up their game today," the Palin source said.
Two sources close to the former vice presidential candidate had told RCP earlier Wednesday that Palins involvement in the rally was on hold, due to concerns over how the hosts were handling what has been billed as a major event.
The primary concern of the governor is the people that are coming to this event, one source had said. The planners are an issue thats gotten in the way.
The organizers caused a stir over the last couple of days when they first announced that former U.S. Senate candidate Christine ODonnell had accepted their invitation to speak at the event before Palin. They then disinvited ODonnell before re-inviting her to do so.
After Palins associates made it known that Palin was reconsidering her participation, the organizers once again disinvited ODonnell.
An ODonnell aide told RCP that the former GOP candidate for senator in Delaware had texted Palin to ask about the rapidly developing situation but had not received a response.
While it is clear that ODonnells proposed speaking slot was not acceptable to Palins camp, the Palin aide denied that anyone on the Palin team had explicitly demanded that ODonnell be removed from the speakers list.
Palins concern arose, the aide said, when an ODonnell aide suggested to event organizers that Palin wanted the Delawarean to share the stage with her.

Sure... the Lizard people and ILLUMINATIZ are out there too. /s
Yeah that’s it it is a secret plan how did you ever guess?
The organizers caused a stir over the last couple of days when they first announced that former U.S. Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell had accepted their invitation to speak at the event before Palin.
>> “Her recent pol numbers are no better than Gingrish or Cain.” <<
.
Nonsense you are talking about the published push-polls, which are just heavily manipulated propaganda. In the clean, unmanipulated raw polls, she is still way up on top, beyond reach.
Great video, Steve. Can't wait to see you perform it live on Saturday!
Make sure you give a big "shout-out" to all us Freepers in the audience!
How is Perry not qualified according to Palin? If she really did say this (which I highly doubt) Provide a link please.
Sure about that?
Taking drugs when posting is not advisable.
You are reading this quite wrongly. It doesn’t really have anything to do with whether CO was there or not. It had to do with a last second rescheduling that was very bad on the part of the organizers.
After today’s fiasco I hope Sarah does not announce at this event. Not a positive situation for her announcement. She needs to pick another time and place either before or after her speech Sat.
Do your own digging.
It was a Fox interview.
That other poster is right, you be hatin...Lighten up “christian”.
You should quit projecting.
Thanks for your reply. Sounds reasonable.I am not a Perry supporter but I don’t call him names. I will wait and see who gets my vote. As I see it the Perry supporters are no more (actually less) obnoxious and overbearing than the Palin supporters. They would not be so obnoxious at all IMO if every Perry thread were not filled with Sarah was there first Perry is a RINO childish crap.
I am truly confused as to why there are Palin supporters as she is not in the race.I like LTC Allen West. I wish he would run but I am not going to act like he is and call others names because he may. Nor would I dare spread rumors he is announcing on such and such date because I have convinced myself he should. I have seen Palin supporters say Palin is already President she does not need to even run. If I said that about West I would think I would be called a nut and acting cult like.
I have heard about a Palin interview where she supposedly says someone needs executive experience to be POTUS.I never heard or saw Palin say this. Let’s say it’s true Perry has executive experience. So unless you post evidence you are making things up to suit your wants and desires.
S*** happens. The show must go on.
Palin has not seen any attacks yet compared to what awaits her if she jumps in. But she is wise to distance herself from O'Donnell as she has to work around the media games and speak directly to the people whenever she can.
It would save me a lot of money...I won’t donate to anyone else.
