It could have/should have been handled a lot more quietly and with more tact...

That is my problem with this stupid non-story. Why are people leaking about benign information to the speaking roster of scheduled guests. Someone is grinding an ax here either for O'Donnell or Palin. It looks bad all the way around.

Bottom line, Palin doesn’t want O’Donnell anywhere near her.

Cat fight?

That frosted me from the get-go. I like O’Donnell alot, but when organizing these events you don’t jack around with your headliner by doing this stuff at the last minute. Palin is the draw, period. She might announce her presidency at your event.

You don’t put someone right before her that could upstage her cuz you know the media will drag out the O’Donnell-is-crazy meme, and Palin by association. They will say ANYTHING to blunt Palin’s momentum off an announcement.

You certainly don’t allow O’Donnell to be on the stage with Sarah if she does announce she’s jumping in. That’s immediate association, and Rule #1 in campaign events that you don’t violate.

There’s rumors Crow is in Perry’s camp. Not totally sure of that one yet, so I hope this was an innocent mistake.

Yes she would if she sees herself as a future player. We could be seeing a major shift in the Republican Party here. I know you don't like Perry but the Bush/Rove connection is on it's way out in Washington, just like it did in Texas. The last gasp was the whole group running Kay Baily against Perry.

If Palin and Perry (and others) are about to reshape the Republican Party in the image of TEA, Palin is too smart to run around with O'Donnell.

It’s going to be a great event - of course I’m biased. I’ll be there singing WE MUST TAKE AMERICA BACK and a few other songs.

It does look petty. It also looks very amateurish.

From everything I’ve read, the initial objections about O’Donnell’s appearance came from the attendees.

Well, she’s survived the full frontal attacks, it only makes sense that they’ll get more stealthy. After all, they not only want to take her down, but the TEA Party as well. And the full frontal against the TEA Party is underway as we speak.

Divide and conquer; sow dissention in the ranks... It’s a very old playbook.

I disagree.

I think it makes the organizers (who, as I understand it are a newly formed group and put this event together very, very quickly) look amateurish and very disorganized.

However, I’m not saying they couldn’t have been better vetted ..

And people will think what they will or attack whomever they will based on their own agendas and/or ulterior motives. We all know anything can be spun with a motivated spinner.

Not true, Crow is the guy who invited Palin and organized this whole rally. He said Palin wasn't running and asked to meet Perry as an alternative.

Perry is Tokyo Rove’s guy. Karl’s smart enough to know he’s the kiss-of-death, so he pretends like he’s not.

LOL, No, Palin is to smart to be anywhere near O'Donnell if she wants to remain a serious player.

Oh, I get it. So when Rove was out dissing Christine O’Donnell, it was because he was secretly supporting her . . .

Crow, apparently not realizing that I was a nobody who has never even met Perry, let alone someone who has any sway whatsoever with his campaign (in fact, I’ve not endorsed any candidate and I was simply there as a favor to a friend), told me he wanted to meet with the Texas Governor and perhaps endorse him in the near future.

“I love Sarah Palin,” Crow told me, “but I know for a fact she ain’t gonna run.”

Reminds me of the old Jimmy Durante routine:

“Didja ever have the feeling that you wanted to go?
And still you had the feeling that you wanted to stay?”

Comedy routine by amateurs.
