How will the lame stream, state-run media handle this if the guy turns out to be an illegal alien?
By ignoring that fact.
Dare I say that legal or illegal is increasingly a distinction that no longer makes much of a difference in many cases? Documentation alone doesn't mean assimilation. Just think of of the so-called "legals" that brazenly wave the Mexican flag, stubbornly speak Spanish and refuse to embrace our culture and values. Sure, many of them (perhaps even this bit of human debris) may have papers, but are they truly authentic Americans?
I think it serves well to remember the words of President Calvin Coolidge:
“American institutions rest solely on good citizenship. They were created by people who had a background of self-government. New arrivals should be limited to our capacity to absorb them into the ranks of good citizenship. America must be kept American.
For this purpose it is necessary to continue a policy of restricted immigration. It would be well to make such immigration of a selective nature with some inspection at the source, and based either on a prior census or upon the record of naturalization. Either method would insure the admission of those with the largest capacity and best intention of becoming citizens… Those who do not want to be partakers of the American spirit ought not to settle in America.”
Not too long before, I posted those prophetic words from President Coolidge on a thread concerning the 2012 Presidential Hopefuls' Immigration Stances.
I bet the feds are sweating bullets wondering if this was one of the fast and furious guns.
Here's how it works:
If he's Muslim - the media will warn people that all Muslims are NOT terrorists - and to watch out for crazy Republicans who are Islamaphobes.
If he's an illegal - there will be interviews with people about the necessity of gun control. Some sheriff will say gun control works - and the story about the killer will disappear - as the REAL killer - THE GUN - takes center stage. People will be warned that conservatives will try to use the issue against poor hard working 'immigrants'...
If a conservative is the killer - Homeland Security jumps in with a lone wolf theory, the MSM does several stories on conservative buying extra food, clinging to their guns and being hypocrites in their religion. The conclusion will be that all Conservatives can be painted with the same brush - and they're all extremists and/or terrorists.
