Starting to think there’s something about those Texans and the way they can get a close following of dedicated fans. I don’t yet have a full opinion on Perry(some things I really like, some things I REALLY Dislike); but some of his supporters are getting awfully close to Paulbot status, and it’s starting to become a real turnoff. At least the Perry people, though, don’t hate America (or if they do, they do it less openly than the Paulbots and the head Ronulan himself do).
The Perrygasms are becoming annoying. Many on both sides of the argument are using emotion and not facts. (Or are not checking their facts.)
Totally agree with your assessment.
My thoughts on the debate:
Romney- less and less all the time and I never liked him to begin with. He’s establishment and a BS artist.
Perry- just appears out of his league to me. Long pauses to collect a coherent answer which comes out mediocre at best.
Bachmann- Love her conservatism but the attack on Perry was unbecoming but only insomuch as I don’t think it’s good to hurl accusations.
Newt and Santorum- Straight shooters. Common sense and with and smart and articulate voices for true conservatism. Neither can win though.
Cain- Love him but not enough there to get him a nomination.
Huntsman- Who cares? Just taking up space and air. Go away already
Paul- Really showing now what a true lunatic he is.
“Close following of dedicated fans”.......well, maybe more well-paid and organized than dedicated.
Entirely too many of ‘em around here lately seem to come up with PRECISELY the same talking point at exactly the same time.
My personal fav was the one last week about how absolutely mean and nasty Palin supporters were if they started objecting to PerryBots taking over threads.....
I was about to offer ‘em crying towels, if I bothered to pay too much attention to ‘em at all. I just have this aversion to crass attempts at projection like that.....
