This article needs to be read. It is the divide. Be prepared to be shocked and hopefully offended. This propaganda is what passes as news. Print yourself a copy so it will be a handy reminder when they keep coming at us with their panda bears, polar bears and green energy solutions.

Environmentalists have, are and will continue to lie for money -- for power and control. And they've been very successful. However their "brand" has been bruised so they've slowly begun transitioning to using the terms "conservation" and "conservationists" -- so don't be fooled (conservation has long been the CORRECT term to describe mankind's proper interface with our world -- so now the "greens" need to snatch it).

Even graduate students and post docs know to keep their opinions to themselves (a growing chorus of distinguished and renowned scientists are giving an informed rebuttal to the lies of global warming "science" in efforts to inform the world of this hoax). Companies and businesses bullied for years by "green" terrorists and the "green"education movement, pay "hostage" money to keep the environmentalist off their backs and fashion their advertising and products to draw in "brainwashed" green customers.

Solyndra "green" solar panel execs are in the headlines (well maybe in "Section B" of the news, because the SEJ -- Society of Environmental Journalists write the copy for so many news agencies) plead the 5th as they "loose" $500,000,000 of tax payer money -- handed to them by President Obama. Sixties radicals have churned out a marching army of "green"graduates ready to make free-market capitalism pay and reform.

There is a renewed push from the warmists on the Left, to alert listeners and viewers that "deniers" and "contraians" (Jim Hansen likes that term) must be refused a seat at the discussion table because their opinions are so wrong they are putting the world in irreversible danger by confusing the public. Many churches have adopted and incorporated "save Mother Earth" and "Creation Care" policies into their religious teachings. The EPA has been given the "green light" to overrule Congress on what and how environmental policy will be deemed lawful and unlawful -- who you can hire, where you can hire, what you can make and what you can sell. And you will pay dearly if you disobey.

The Left is using religion as their "understood" meme that people of faith don't believe in science and thus are dangerous.

This Left is formulating this distinction and divide to label conservatives as enemies of the state.

This is Stalinesque. Learn about Trofim Lysenko and Lysenkoism where scientists were "removed" for dissenting. It's was (is) called agronomy.

In Donald Gibson, Battling Wall Street: The Kennedy Presidency (1994), it's revealed modern Malthusians and extreme conservationists opposed Kennedy's call for technology to improve the standard of living.

Do we not recall Rachel Carson's Silent Spring (1962) thanks to which we now proudly kill a million children each year needlessly banning DDT.

Ice cores show us near the end of an inter-ice-age cycle, if anything, cooling back again.

When we ought to push for plentiful and cheap energy to provide clean water and sanitary living conditions for all, when our agricultural professionals (farmers and scientists together) can feed all of us better and better, why do the oppressors seek to demoralize us.

The drumbeat of climate change is nothing we didn't hear from Cotton Mather in Salem, Massachusetts in 1620, or in the star chamber of the Spanish Inquisition.

Climate propaganda coming from those who cannot reliably predict tomorrow's weather or next week's hurricane is nothing but a knife to our throat demanding our wallet and our watch.

We are ending the reign of the shrieking fairies and carping harpies of media and academe, of Hollywood and pop culture.

The Night of the Living Dead is ending.

When the sun comes up next November we'll all step over the striped leggings poking out from under the fallen house and move on down the road.

AGW is a golden goose for the left, which now consist of hard core Marxist, and or, touchy-feely morons, aka, leftist Democrats.
Their victims are naive kids under the age of 30, and other assorted individuals that have no clue about weather, much less climate.

When you are in a discussion about AGW, you can pretty well shut the neo-AGW believers up when you ask about the “MWP”, followed by the “little ice age”.
Most of them, of course, have no clue as to what you are talking about.

Try it sometime.
It is lots of fun to flummox the idiots.

In 1978 the 'buzz' in geological circles was the coming ice Age. Yes, the mainstream media carried that story, too.

The heat is cutting into wheat yields,

BS. What messed up wheat farming this year, at least here, was the flooding. Not from rainfall, so much, but from last winter's record snowfall melting (Well, I guess that involves heat--we call it Spring).

An awful lot of farmland was flooded out from the Dakotas on down the Missouri and Mississippi, and in the Durum belt up by Minot, ND.

Some of that cropland stayed under water well into August. (Give the Corps of Engineers a hat tip, too, they 'managed' the rivers.

As for extra CO2 in the seas, plants use it to make extra phytoplankton, and critters will use it to create shells of CaCO3 (calcium carbonate).

As limestone layers full of shells around the world will attest, this probably isn't the first time, but we have yet to find a fossil SUV.

But the bottom line is one of whether mankind's future is scratching out a bare and sometimes failing existence among small clusters of mud huts, or whether we will continue to survive as a species by using the technical capabilities we have.

If and when God wants to step in and end the world as we know it, I have a distinct feeling that it will be done in a singularly unambiguous manner, one which will not rely on cooked data sets to try to prove minute incremental warming.

Rule #1: Never believe a guy named 'Clive'.

Actually it's, 'Never go anywhere without a knife'. But 'Clive' will work here as well.

[It's really, 'Never have sex with a coworker', but this is my comment so I can revise as I feel :-)]

Dear Comrades’ Broadcasting System: Why don’t you just admit that anthropogenic global warming is a substitute for war, to enable the politicians to scare the people into running to the government for cover?

"The desire to disbelieve deepens as the scale of the threat grows," concludes economist-ethicist Clive Hamilton.

Clive Hamilton is nothing more than your typical dime-a-dozen hard-left Greens Party hack. The media gives this windbag credibility by reporting on his ravings, which empowers him to rave more, etc.

I'm sorry that he is worming his way into the American political debate. I guess he figured out that the American left is a much larger market than his traditional audience of community hall meetings for ecologically-conscious economic and social justice supporting Greens party members in Melbourne and taxpayer funded left-wing Australian current affairs shows.

If this ass would only read a freshman geology book—he would figure it out. Climate change has always happened, long before man came on the scene. No amount of money will stop the natural progression of the climate-get over it.

So, if global warming is happening why don't the enlightened ones lead by example -- get rid of their big homes and move to energy-efficient cubicle apartments. Or get rid of their SUVs and Beamers and ride Volts or even bicycles?

Or take public transportation LOL

Why aren't they pushing for nuclear energy to replace greenhouse-gas-emitting coal and natural gas plants?

Why are they ripping down hydro-electric dams?

Why aren't they trying to removed the various regulatory and ligation obstacles to telecommuting?

Why are the pushing for more snarl-creating toll roads?

Why are they falsifying their data? Why do fail to include all the data in their papers?

Why do they resort to politics to squelch dissent rather than refute it with evidence?

The only reasonable conclusion is that global warming is a scam to get money and power and to establish a priesthood that may not be questioned.

it's that "faith" thing

No, it's that freedom to contradict ERRORs thing.

"...and finally, that truth is great and will prevail if left to herself, that she is the proper and sufficient antagonist to error, and has nothing to fear from the conflict, unless by human interposition disarmed of her natural weapons, free argument and debate, errors ceasing to be dangerous when it is permitted freely to contradict them..."

The basic physics of anthropogenic — manmade — global warming has been clear for more than a century, since researchers proved that carbon dioxide traps heat. Others later showed CO2 was building up in the atmosphere from the burning of coal, oil and other fossil fuels.

"As a physicist, putting CO2 into the air is good enough for me. It's the physics that convinces me," said veteran Cambridge University researcher Liz Morris.

Or as Al Gore put it, it's "high school physics." Well, let me tell you an experience I had in high school physics.

It's quite natural for pedagogues to want to "relate" to jocks, so I understood exactly why the HS physics book addressed the topic of why the spin of a curve ball causes the path of the ball to curve. It's quite simple, you see: the spin of the ball causes the relative velocity of the ball in the air to be be higher on the advancing side of the spin and less on the retreating side of the spin. The Bernoulli Principle will tell you that the side with the higher relative velocity will have the lower pressure.

Viola! Except for the minor detail known as experience, a.k.a. "experiment." The jock who may not know anything about this Bernoulli guy has conducted the "experiment" of throwing a curve ball - and that "high school physics" explanation of the curve of the ball's path predicts the wrong direction for the "break" of the throw. Whatever causes the curve which the jock observes is not explained in "high school physics," and it overcomes whatever force the Bernoulli Principle predicts will be imposed on the ball.

But she said work must go on to refine climate data and computer climate models, "to convince the deeply reluctant organizers of this world." Weather stations then filled in the rest: Temperatures were rising.
Except when they aren't. Temperature measurements taken next to air conditioner exhausts are not representative of the climate.

We have seen those computer "models," and we aren't impressed by the obvious tendentiousness of some of the Hockey Stick humbug you are pleased to call "analysis." You can't explain the Little Ice Age or the prior Ice Ages - nor the "global warming" which followed each of them. Until you can do that, you are not in the hunt as far as convincing me that my exhaled breath is causing the rocks to melt.

(More on the curve ball: the phenomena of curve balls is seen very clearly when the ball is a light, flimsy beach ball. My wife was astonished to see the dramatic effect when I demonstrated it to her; she remarked that she had had the understanding that "science" said that curve balls were just an optical illusion. Extreme caution is the only logical approach when listening to people who are paid to talk and who have the opportunity to change the subject when their predictions don't pan out.)

I think they calling people deniers is going to help their case, they're sadly mistaken.

They treat this as a divisive political issue. That's not how you "save the planet."
