That sympathy disappears quickly when the Church stands to lose; look at some Catholic schools & hospitals fight efforts by their workers to unionize. Also, a lot of construction work done for the Church is non-union; the lowest bidder can’t afford union workers.
so it’s okay to trash a church because in some areas there have been times when the church opposes a union running telling it’s non profit hospitals how to run things?
Statistice please, not just anecdotes...it’s a pretty big church.
And compare it with the number of other non profit hospitals stopping unions...
The dirty little secret is that a good union makes it impossible to fire incompetent nurses, aides etc. I’ve worked for gov’t health care facilities and had to run through hoops to get rid of incompetent personnel...
