Palin said that she would not run because of her family.

You’re right, god never told her not to run.

I think she misspelled god in her reasons, it should have been spelled T-O-D!

As some on the thread have said, if she steps into the race she’s got my vote, my money, and my shoe leather.

If she doesn’t, and Romney winds up being the nominee, I’ll write her name in just to assuage my conscience and maintain my personal integrity. I will not vote for Romney no matter what.

That’s pathetic, and very sad.

RE :”Palin said that she would not run because of her family. You’re right, god never told her not to run.

As I recall a certain Palinista (hint: this thread poster) used to go around and point out how Palin would only opt out if there was someone was in the race that she supported.

At least he didnt say it was God. Keep up the good work Mike :)

She's an establishment GOP player. If Romney asked her to be on the ticket you don't think she would? Keep in mind she said yes to one about as bad John McCain. Sarah was running for the bank this time. She got a lot of money off the election speculation in the form of publicity for books sales, speaking engagements, etc etc. Yet nothing from late spring on showed she was really serious about running.

I agree with your post. Seeing Herman Cain at that press conference earlier today, I feel that conservatives ought to stand with him and not let the Leftists and RINOs drive him out of the race. If we allow that to happen, it won't matter who the Tea Party gets behind. We will have given the enemy a blueprint that they can use on any of our candidates.

I was a supporter of Palin until she decided not to run. I switched over to Herman Cain and haven't looked back. I have no bitterness for Palin however. She may yet be a player in future election cycles.

Only way I see Palin getting into the current race is if Cain falters and I see no signs of that happening. I believe Cain will be around for the early primaries and has a solid chance of taking two of the first three, which should put in end to Mitt Romney and put Cain in the driver's seat all the way to the nomination.

However, should Cain not fare well in the primaries and Mitt Romney somehow sweeps Iowa, NH and SC, I think that is the most likely scenario that pulls Palin into this thing. Obviously she'll be at a big disadvantage of missing the first few primaries but she should pick up enough delegates to either win outright or force a brokered convention in the summer. If it came down to Palin and Romney at a brokered convention, Palin would have the Tea Party behind her and all the momentum. We are talking historic times.

But I'm really projecting here. I still believe the most likely scenario here is for Herman Cain to take the nomination outright. A lot of people prematurely declared Cain to be toast when all those allegations came out over the past week. But Cain hasn't missed a beat and his fundraising is accelerating - not in decline. I think a nerve has been struck in the Tea Party with all these baseless attacks upon him and many of us are starting to realize that we have our "new Reagan" right in front of our own eyes.

Bump. Stand by this scurriously wronged, Alinksy-ed man, or make your bed in HOT HELL and sleep on the other side with our Sworn Socialist Enemies Politico and Gloria Allred there in reprehensible TREASON, is what I say. It has come to that. People need to chose. I am making my list of RINOs and so-called Conservatives on the airwaves who piled on, either in full mode, or through soft innuendo and doubt-spreading, dovetailing into the "well, he couldnt win anyways". This is sheer Romneyism at work, and I detest it to the core.

I refuse to support her. If she wanted in, she should have decided earlier.

Frankly, if she were to reconsider and run, she’d be the only real hope of a Conservative victory. You might not vote for her. And if enough people agreed with you, you could make a great and grand statement about — what? Being decisive and making a decision quicker? Or, being prideful and refusing to vote for someone that temporarily disappointed you?

And the result? Obama — again. Yeah — that’ll show Sarah! That’ll teach her to wait too late and disappoint you!

When your list is finished, make sure you post it on FR so we know for sure who hurt our conservative cause!

:-) I’m sure that’s funny to Liberals. And self-loathing Conservatives who hate Sarah Palin because she’s got something they don’t.

I would not support Palin if she got in now.

I would support her whole-heartedly if by some hideous circumstance too awful to contemplate, Mitt Romney won the GOP nomination. I would be first in line urging Mrs. Palin to get in the race as a true conservative candidate running on a 3rd party platform.

Then the fireworks would REALLY begin...

She's an establishment GOP player.

Whaaaat? She's about the biggest threat the GOP establishment has ever seen. It's the woman's claim to fame.

I can't believe you said that.

Look the Palin hype was much like the Fred hype last election. Neither one wanted the job. Both were place holders for beltway and DISCOURAGED more serious conservatives from challenging the RINO’s. The best we have this time is Herman Cain. The Beltway thugs will pull no punches too try and bring him down and Romney up on the ticket just as McCain was boosted last election.Nothing she did from late spring on showed she was going too actually run. The dry run bus tours were the biggest giveaway. Instead she kept conservatives in limbo till the too late moment.

I’ll believe to my dying day that Sarah intended to run all along, but that something derailed her plans at the last moment.

I’ve watched every move she’s made for the last three years. She did everything to set herself up for a presidential run, except to file. No one does and says all that she did, to simply tease millions of faithful supporters (or to be a ‘place-holder’, as you claim).

If you also watched her carefully during all that time and drew a different conclusion, then I’d say you already had pre-conceived notions about her to begin with.

If I can get this “wall of shame” done (particularly if Herman sews up the primaries and heads for the nomination) I won’t post it to FR, but I will probably house it on a remote URL website and then provide a link, so people can go back and alphabetically look for a Freeper and see precisely who jumped on board the liberal attempt to character assassinate Herman Cain without any solid evidence all in the hopes of some how elevating their own candidate at the sake of the reputation of a good man. I may even add stars to reflect levels of the most aggregious FR mud slingers, detractors and attackers who aligned with the LIBs and RINOs in this horrendous outrage. I have not seen anything like it in 12 years of posting and 13 years of lurking, the savaging of a fellow conservative like this in tandem with the Democrat Lib machine.
