I’m sincerely asking this, not to jab at you, but to implore you to please do the research yourself on EVERYTHING, rather than believing the media — even if they say the Sun rises in the East! Have you read Cain’s full statement to his staff and supporters? Or are you going by the four-word headline (”Cain to reassess campaign”)?
Cain explained to his campaign staff and supporters that they have assessed their campaign at several stages along the way (as any prudent businessman would, I might add), and this is just one of many assessments.

I posted this a few times today as well. I got it at NRO Corner. I don’t see how I am wrong in how I am reading it. This was not the response to make when your campaign is being dogged with this BS. Adding this to the weird response from Woods yesterday does not add up for me the way you want it to. Personally, I would have hit back hard and fast if someone accused me of sleeping around for 13 years behind my wifes back. Not some brief statement and then talk about deliberating about the situation this week and whether he can maintain support.
