MANASSAS, Va. --

Nizar Hussain, a Woodbridge doctor accused of inappropriately touching his patients pleaded no contest Wednesday morning to one count of assault and battery.

Prosecutors dropped all other charges against him.

He was sentenced to 12 months in jail, with all jail time suspended on the condition of his good behavior and that he have no contact with any of his alleged victims.

Hussain was arrested after several of his patients said he either inapproproately touched them or kissed them.

In court Tuesday, one woman who said Hussain inappropriately touched her testified that she is now afraid to go to the doctor and will never go alone again.

"I trusted him as my doctor and he took advantage of me," she said.

Another woman standing near the back of the court room burst into tears when the judge said Hussain would spend no time in jail.

"It' not enough," she said.

Defense attorney Peter Greenspun said he and his client had no comment following the hearing.

He will serve no jail time. I hope he loses his license to practice medicine.

Medical licenses are state issued. If he does lose his license he has 49 more chances. There is no rational reason for this sentence. If I were to inappropriately touch or kiss a number of women, I don’t think I’d get a reprimand and be told not to do it again. Would anyone? Really?

Come on journalists. what’s the rest of the story? Who’s the judge? What’s his background. Why was the plea deal so lenient?

Welcome to the doctors of Obooma care! That is if you are eligible to get an appointment.

A doctor who loses a license in one state will have a tall order getting a license in another.

The doc should have told her to “put some ice on it”.

Worked for Bubba.

Women never SHOULD go to an appointment alone, if they can manage to bring a friend.
Doctors tend to pre-plan these things, if they see any of their female patients as potential “targets of opportunity”.
They will find a way of scheduling the target as the last appointment, and make sure the receptionist and or/nurse are told to go home early. But I think it gets harder and harder to pull these things off, especially in reputable, high-end medical facilities.

Beyond sickening.

Women should NEVER be alone with a Dr.
Insist on a nurse being there or go to someone else.
The Dr? He should be put into a room with the husbands, fathers and brothers of these women. Let’s THEN see how bold and how brave he can be.

Enough of this crap (NOT the word I want to use) enough of it all. Perverts and molesters and pedophiles all the hell over the place. It has to STOP!!! We have laws and they are not enforced. This man should be behind bars and his medical license flushed down the toilet!!!

Sadly, you’re very wrong. It happens a lot and all the time. MDs are a valuable resource and compromised MDs work cheap. It sounds scary but the degree is worth quite a bit and charges in one state don’t mean much in another unless its a murder rap or something nearly that serious. Groping and misdemeanor behavior won’t stop a licensing process if z hospital is pushing it.

That's funny. He doesn't look Amish. If he inappropriately touched or kissed my wife, he wouldn't look the same afterward. Someone needs to deal with this in person if the courts have failed.

An undergrad buddy (he went on to med school in Des Moines) got into his own prescriptions some years ago and lost his DO license.
He tried to get a license in Washington State, Ohio and a couple of other locations but the conviction in Iowa ruined his career.
Last I heard, he was a pharmaceutical rep.

Obviously those women tempted him. They are the guilty ones, not him!

Isn’t that the way these things are supposed to play out for Muslims?

Maybe the infidel women should get together and administer some Islamic justice in the spirit of ecumenism.

Sadly, you would go to jail if you defended your wife.
