No matter what the weather, what the holiday, what the country, our military perform their duty 24/7/365.
The least we can do is show our support. And this week in Olney Santa and his elves do our duty.
BELOW: SANTA - love the shades.
Santas patriotic elves this week include Legionnaire Halsey (USMC - Korea), GunsAreOK, [Mrs] T and myself.
As usual, pictures by [Mrs] Trooprally

We had a Navy Vet stop and thank us for being out there. He gave us the BELOW pin and said that it was from his command ship while in the Mediterranean about 20 years ago. Any one have any more info on the pin? On the back there appears to be a star kinda shaped like an eagle with H H in it, and what looks like V20?KGR The ? looks like a 2 but the first 2' is clear.
It might have been part of his collection since there was a small piece of masking tape on the back with the letter B written on it.
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE and PRAY THAT OUR TROOPS HAVE A SAFE AND WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS WHEREVER THEY ARE.
If you live in northern VA and want a short cut to Olney See Post 39 Here. It's an easy 20 minute drive from the American Legion Bridge.
A special Thanks to a FReeper FRiend for enhancing the original plain type directions.
The Archive of Olney FReeps is here or in the LINKS section of Trooprally's ABOUT Page.

DC Chapter Master Ping List
A Christmas Eve AAR
Remember Our Troops and Keep Them in Your Prayers.
Maryland PING!
Again a great AAR. I want to wish everyone a Great Christmas and be safe traveling.

Thank you for the explanation. The pin has extra meaning since this Navy Vet worked hard for his command. And the “B” on the back might mean that it was his second highest pin, with maybe one above his command pin.
I am wondering what to do with it. If I was sure that it would not get lost, I am thinking of putting it on our Olney Navy flag. The command pin has 3 pins on the back to attach it to a uniform. It should hold on the flag if I put it at the top by the pole.
And Thank You for your service.
[Mr] T
I have started to write Happy HOLYday on some of my emails.
[Mr] T
Thanks for the ping and the Christmas well wishes.
Hope to see you in Olney sometime. Don’t be a stranger.

As an aside, I’ve found interesting that greetings from the uniformed service Chief’s and their senior NCO’s broadcasted on AFN do not mention Christmas but ‘holiday’s.’ On the other hand, the Congress Critter’s 10 second spots are a mix of ‘Merry Christmas’ and ‘Happy Holiday.’ Not knowing who all of them are, it is hard to tell which ones are democrats and which ones are from the GOP. I find it sad many general officers and E10’s have capitulated and become PC (I know some are not) for sake of getting along with the political class.
Regards and Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas to all.
I am so glad that Santa could take time out to THANK the troops! I know how busy he is these days and especially tonight.
I wish you Olney Patriots, and every FReeper too, A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!
MERRY CHRISTMAS to everyone!
Wishing everyone many blessings in the New Year too!
Also sending hugs from the Sunshine state! Hope to see you all in February when we will be heading to DC.
I hear you about the officer corps being PC. Being PC resulted in the Ft. Hood murders. Has to do with their Teleprompter-in-chief. Hope this changes in 2012.
[Mr] T
Thank you. You both are also great supporters of the DC Chapter and all we do.
