LUTZ, Fla. (AP) — Newt Gingrich on Sunday called GOP president rival Mitt Romney a "pro-abortion, pro-gun control, pro-tax increase liberal."
Gingrich made the comments outside a megachurch in Lutz, Fla., two days before the pivotal presidential primary.
Gingrich is trailing Romney in Florida and has been labeling the former governor a Massachusetts moderate. Now Gingrich is moving his 2012 rival even further left.
He also criticized Romney's campaign tactics during two television interviews Sunday morning, decrying his opponent's "basic policy of carpet-bombing his opponent."
One of the ads being run by Romney suggests that Gingrich is exaggerating his ties to Ronald Reagan. Gingrich chafed at that, noting that the former president's son Michael was joining him on the campaign trail Monday "to prove to everybody that I am the heir to the Reagan movement, not some liberal from Massachusetts."

FINALLY!!! This is the tactic he should have been taking since leaving South Carolina. Romney’s record as governor of Massachusetts is at least as liberal as Obama’s in the White House, but with the added kicker of an “assault” weapons ban.

Why doesn’t Newt run ads comparing Rotney’s positions with Hillary’s?
She didn’t get Hillarycare, but Rotney got Rotneycare! Thus, Rotney is MORE liberal than Hillary on that key issue.

In Massachusetts, a moderate is actually a flaming liberal. Massachusetts is the "France" of the USA.

Apparently Romney just admitted to a crowd in Panama City that he plans to pay for Obamacare by cutting waste at the DOD. I just read it on another thread.
I'm sure Mittens has every intention of doing that to the military...but Romney sKerry did not mess up his talking points here. A troll got frisky on FR when that was posted. I'm thinking it's the Zot..on at least that thread.
