Does anybody recognize some of this language from the cynically mis-named (and stealth-passed) “Food Safety Act” (S510 from last December)??

(c) “Farm equipment” means equipment, machinery, and repair parts manufactured for use on farms in connection with the production or preparation for market use of food resources.
(d) “Fertilizer” means any product or combination of products that contain one or more of the elements nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium for use as a plant nutrient.
(e) “Food resources” means all commodities and products, (simple, mixed, or compound), or complements to such commodities or products, that are capable of being ingested by either human beings or animals, irrespective of other uses to which such commodities or products may be put, at all stages of processing from the raw commodity to the products thereof in vendible form for human or animal consumption. “Food resources” also means potable water packaged in commercially marketable containers, all starches, sugars, vegetable and animal or marine fats and oils, seed, cotton, hemp, and flax fiber, but does not mean any such material after it loses its identity as an agricultural commodity or agricultural product.
(f) “Food resource facilities” means plants, machinery, vehicles (including on farm), and other facilities required for the production, processing, distribution, and storage (including cold storage) of food resources, and for the domestic distribution of farm equipment and fertilizer (excluding transportation thereof).
(g) “Functions” include powers, duties, authority, responsibilities, and discretion.

Is this EO constitutional? If not, it needs I be challenged ASAP. Newt and Rick need to bring this up on the campaign stump as well as all talk show hosts.
Hussein is not popular and he knows it. He will not win in November. He does not have the independent vote nor does he have the Reagan dem vote. If he tries to pull this crap, there will be a push back that this country has never seen before.
Yes. Executive Orders 11000 - 11005 signed by Pres. Kennedy in 1962 assigned emergency preparedness functions to several federal agencies at the time. With changes in the federal bureaucracies since 1962, these EO's has been modified or replaced by newer EO's to reflect the current bureaucracy.
I researched these through the National Archives and Records Administration (www.archives.gov) due to an on-line debate with a conspiracy nutjob whose statement that 'secret' EO 11000 was Pres. Bush's attempt to take over the US and install the 'New World Order'. If EO 11000 was a 'secret', why is it posted on the internet at the governments web site? And if it was going to be used by Pres. Bush (R), why was it signed by Pres. Kennedy (D)? Had loads of fun with that nutjob.
So am I understanding you to say this is business as usual and we have nothing to be concerned about?
I would bet 80% or more of the Armed Forces are, that is why they must continue to be deployed out of the country, and maybe 70% of Law enforcement are...there are some in Law Enforcement who would love to “break heads...”
I don't see anything out of the ordinary in this. If you look at it like a huge national disaster, say like the Yellowstone volcano erupts, then you will see this as a directive for the federal agencies to put a plan in place to handle the disaster.
However, the conspiracy folks are going to make a lot of hay out of this.
FWIW, I was a Unit Disaster Preparedness NCO when I was in the USAF. Down on the Gulf Coast, we had plans for everything from natural disasters (hurricane, tornado), to man made (terrorist, war), to "OMG!" (tsunami - Panic!).

Now it is all crystal clear what they have done. I was just rethinking everything from the healthcare to this EO. 0bama was dropping hints late last year this was coming, but now it all is clear. The FDA bill to 'protect food,' the NDAA making the US part of the battlefield and allowing for citizen detentions, the EO giving interpol access to Americans, to the recently passed bill in regards to 'violent' protests, to this EO.
I understand. Just as an activity in critical thinking, why do you suppose O didn’t do this at the beginning of his term? Seems like he would be on top of this, since he was so active initially with EO’s. I can’t see any way this one would have slipped his notice.
And also, I remember that press conference when Joe Biden said something to the effect, “People, something is going to happen in the near future to challenge this administration like none before. Don’t give up on us when that happens.” Seems like this EO would be particularly helpful for such a threat, and yet he is just now getting around to it?

I was searching for the EO that waived Miranda Rights for domestic terrorist that went out to the FBI and can’t find it now. There are some references to it on the web, but finding the order ...it seems to not exist.
No, they are planning on allowing an EMP to disable the general population, cause the chaos and then invoke this. I know. The “hardened” communications infrastructure is being deployed. I have seen it myself.
