In an on-the-street interview with Jason Mattera, author of the new book "Hollywood Hypocrites: The Devastating Truth About Obamas Biggest Backers," U2 front man Bono claimed he has no control over his bands decision to relocate U2 Ltd. from Ireland to Holland to cut the bands corporate tax rate in half.

Reminds me of Kerry, when he claimed he didn't have (or drive, I can't remember which) an SUV, but his family had half a dozen.

It’s easy to campaign to give away half of someone else’s money while stashing your funds safely away....Like most leftists it’s only important when talking about there PERSONAL money. (Like Oprah and her OWN network firing all those employees....) Or in 99% speak..”Greedy Billionaire Oprah firing employees to increase profits!”

Don’t be too hard on the guy. He’s got to pinch a few pennies where he can — flying his hat first-class from continent to continent adds up.

Reminds me of Kerry, when he claimed he didn't have (or drive, I can't remember which) an SUV, but his family had half a dozen. Even worse was Kerry's decision to park his yacht in neighboring Rhode Island to save money in taxes over leaving it in Mass.

Well, I'll give Bono credit for this— when asked point blank by I think Larry King why he'd meet with Republicans when he was a supporter of labor, he said something to the effect “when I get money promises for my charities from conservatives, they always come through. And I've never heard of a conservative head of a band not paying his employees. I can't say that of all my labor friends. But I like all people.”

An editors note on TheBlaze.com offers more detail on the whole affair:
Editors note: The original Breitbart.com story has been removed and the Jason Mattera videos have now been moved to private on YouTube. There is widespread discussion on Twitter that the person Mattera interviewed in the videos may have been a Bono impersonator.
