I'm all for being prepared for emergencies, but after watching a few episodes of Doomsday Preppers ... yeow.

I watched about 2 minutes of an episode recently...something about the Yosemite supervolcano.I've seen documentaries about that supervolcano and get the distinct sense that anyone within 1000 miles of it when it goes off should just kiss their a$$es goodbye."Preparing" for it is *beyond* stupid.

LOL ... excellent point!
BTW, I agree with you with regard to your comment that you own a gun just because you can (that it pi$$es off people like Sarah Brady is just a bonus).
We should never have to justify exercising any of our Constitutional rights.

There are "doomsday" things to prepare for. Yellowstone's down on my list. My attitude with that is that if it's time to go, it's time to go because it will be instant ice age afterward.

Financial collapses, logistics problems, or energy shortages on the other hand I can see.
