It is my understanding that besides illegal aliens being exempt, Muslims are as well.

This is Tax Hike #21 in the list. Can someone explain to me in layman's terms what it means?

Codification of the “economic substance doctrine”(Tax hike of $4.5 billion). This provision allows the IRS to disallow completely-legal tax deductions and other legal tax-minimizing plans just because the IRS deems that the action lacks “substance” and is merely intended to reduce taxes owed.

Exceptions for prisoners I can understand.

But, isn't it sweet illegals get a free ride and let the gringos foot the bill - not to mention they are excempt from the Death Panels that we face?

They break the law crossing our border, get food stamps, overwhelm our hospitals and schools, don't have to worry too much about deportation, and scrweing our country with help from politicians on future demographics......etc., etc.!

Truly amazing, but why I have my tagline.

Yes, as are the US Congress, the entire Federal Executive and Judiciary Branches, all public employee unions (including teachers), employees of some “select” businesses, and a number of “select” non-public unions.

Makes you feel just grand that we get the lowest-common-denominator 0bamugabe-care while those groups get to enjoy their Rolls-Royce policies.

At our expense, too.

Aren’t we just so magnanimous!

Black liquor” tax hike (Tax hike of $23.6 billion). This is a tax increase on a type of bio-fuel.

That's racist! /sarc

Only if they opt out of Social Security like Amish.

The health care reform law defines those sects as ones that are also exempt from Social Security payroll taxes under 26 U.S. Code section 1402(g)(1). In other words, religious sects that seek exemption from the health care reform law’s individual mandate must also waive all benefits from Social Security and Medicare.

The health care reform law does not, however, specify which religious sects are, or are not, eligible for such an exemption - Muslim or otherwise.

Historically, the overwhelming majority of religious sects that have sought and received exemptions from Social Security are Mennonite and Amish groups.

“But, isn’t it sweet illegals get a free ride and let the gringos foot the bill... “

It’s not quite that bad. They are exempt from the penalty in the mandate. But they are also not entitled (theoretically) to participate in the exchanges or to receive medicaid.

I am amused that the maximum salary a CEO can make is the same as a Utility Infielder brought up from Triple A for one game so he can hit 200. However, if he hits 250, he gets a bonus. The CEO, not. I looked up the minimum MLB salary ten minutes ago. It’s $480,000 right now but slated to go up to $500,000 after the All Star break.

Couple kids that my daughter went to hs with are now pitching in the majors (Lance Lynn and Drew Storen). They’re probably making more than the rest of the class combined.

Sure.

Businesses and wealthy individuals who normally used every legal means to minimize taxes will have to think twice.

If they haven't donated to rat pols, the IRS will make their lives difficult.

It legalizes the Clinton/Obama shakedown racket that has evolved these past 20 years.

There’s a way for Christians to opt out as well, if you join one of the Christian health sharing ministries. That’s in the bill.

That would probably be THE best way to get this pig repealed - have all Christians join these ministries and not contribute to the system.

This would be like a shadow of what will happen to the economy when the Rapture occurs.

Illegal aliens are only exempt from paying, they get the benefits. That isn’t the worst part of this TAX bill. Wait till peolpe who sell their homes or real estate find out they owe Obama 3.9% of the purchase price. That should do wonders for the housing market and the economy. People who are underwater will be an additional 3.9% when the TAX takes effect.
