Presumptive U.S. Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney is planning a $60,000-a-plate fundraiser in Jerusalem, a source told The Jerusalem Post.
The Post said in an exclusive report attendees would fly in from the United States for the July 29 event.
After the fundraiser, Romney was reported planning to host a conference in Jerusalem where he will outline his Middle East policy.

So 0bama will be sending Hillary to steal Romney’s thunder?
Obama will respond shortly by announcing a fundraiser in IRAN with George Soros to plan for the global caliphate......
I seriously doubt that even for Mitt's (deep pocketed) friends would sign up for a $60,000 per plate no matter what they're serving in Jerusalem!
Maybe what is being projected is a $60,000 total projected event dinner.
Counting down to the usual BS promise of moving the US embassy to Jerusalem. Its tradition for the GOP nominee.
That’s not one of the 57 states......

I question the accuracy of the $60,000 a plate dinner.
“I question the accuracy of the $60,000 a plate dinner. “
It’s probably accurate.
He just had a $50,000 a plate dinner this past weekend in New York and the reports were that the house was packed with cars lined up in front with people waiting to get in.
Maybe, but in Israel you’re talking a population of, maybe, 150 to 200 thousand who could legally donate. Like having a $60m dinner in Peoria. As I noted earlier, these things outside our borders don’t thrill me, but it’s legal, and if he can sell the seats, great.
What’s Mittens going to do? Dedicate the temple mount to Xenu?
Perhaps it is a face-saving, fig leaf for Hollywood or Wall Street types who fear the social stigma of being seen attending a Romney fundraiser in Manhattan or Hollywood.
In Jerusalem, the rich and powerful of the American Jewish community can also mingle with the rich and powerful of Israel, making for a more interesting networking and informational event for such high-dollar contributors. They could pass it off to other Democrats as an expense to that kind of networking, rather than really supporting the other team in their heart.
In any event, Romney hiimself needs to be networking/preparing now to manage Mid-East developments, in case he is elected in just a few months.
