A security guard at the Family Research Council headquarters in Washington, D.C., was shot in the arm by a gunman who sources said expressed disagreement with the conservative group's policy positions.
The guard, who was not identified, was conscious after the shooting and was being treated. The shooting occurred in the Chinatown neighborhood Wednesday morning. The gunman was apprehended and was being questioned by the FBI, sources said. Sources said he is in his twenties and may have been posing as an intern.
The suspect "made statements regarding their policies, and then opened fire with a gun striking a security guard," a source told Fox News. WJLA-TV7 reported the suspect was also shot.

So there will be no doubt.

Holder has already ruled this out as not a hate crime.

Now what family-related policy would that be, that caused a gunman to shoot a token representative of the Family Research Council? Could it have been hard data about children needing both a mother and a father that result in FRC's support for traditional marriage?
No! Really? Those nice gay folks would never stoop to shooting someone, would they?

I could not find it (at this time) on ABC news site. CBS has it but oddly (sarc) doesn’t mention that the shooter articulated disagreements with the groups politics (an ommission I’m sure they would make if it had been a Tea Party member shooting up some liberal group office).

I remember the shooting at Planned Parenthood in Boston. People actually were sad because the girls that got killed were “beautiful”. Well Nazi Death Camps had pretty girls working as secretaries too.

the money quote....
Sources told Fox New that after guard took away his gun, the suspect said, “Don’t shoot me, it was not about you, it was what this place stands for.”

Hatred from the left manifesting itself in physical actions. The Left (and media) accused the Right of "inciting" the Gifford's shooting, it is now the Left (and a complicit media) inciting their own to violent action against the Right.
But.... the "news" media will claim the Right is inciting people to act out against it. We need to fight this as much as possible.

So will DHS add gays who hate their life to the list of likely domestic terrorists. Don’t count on it. DHS is more likely to add the security guard.

Thanks. Another thread said it has been classified as “domestic terrorism.” That means a slap on the wrist compared to a hate crime. Out in 6 weeks. My turn: /sarc
