I don’t think the SPLC has a sense of goodwill.

It was founded by radicals, and while it has done some good work (such as a project to clear land titles for property owned by poor blacks in the South), in recent years it has become nothing but a left wing pressure group.

A couple of years after the election of The One, the SPLC was contracted by the government to identify and track “hate groups.”

First of all, this is unnecessary, since true hate groups are pretty obvious and in any case tracking the dangerous ones is the responsibility of the FBI and not some private, politically connected organization. Secondly, because it is primarily political in nature, the group exists solely to classify as a “hate group” any organization that does not conform to the left-wing policies that motivate our current government.
