A Maryland Democratic candidate quit her congressional race Monday after her own party told state officials that she had committed fraud by voting in both Maryland and Florida in recent elections. Wendy Rosen, a small-business owner running against freshman Rep. Andy Harris (R) in the Eastern Shore-based 1st Congressional District, released a statement saying that with great regret, and much sorrow she was resigning from the contest.
Personal issues have made this the hardest decision that I have had to make, Rosen said Rosens announcement came the same day the state Democratic party released a letter to state Attorney General Douglas Gansler and state prosecutors reporting the allegations against Rosen.
The Maryland Democratic Party has discovered that Ms. Rosen has been registered to vote in both Florida and Maryland since at least 2006; that she in fact voted in the 2006 general election both in Florida and Maryland; and that she voted in the presidential preference primaries held in both Florida and Maryland in 2008, wrote Yvette Lewis, the state party chair. This information is based on an examination of the voter files from both states. We believe that this is a clear violation of Maryland law and urge the appropriate office to conduct a full investigation. A senior Maryland Democrat said the party had been tipped off this weekend by someone within the party about Rosens potential issue. After checking the allegation, the party contacted Rosen on Monday morning and urged her to quit. Local Democratic committees in the 1st district will now meet and vote on a new candidate to replace Rosen on the ballot. The new name must be submitted to the state by Sept. 27. Regardless of his opponent, Harris is considered a safe bet for reelection.

You’re probably right about the absentee ruse. I moved from North Carolina and received a notice cleansing me from the voter roles after they discovered my address change at the Post Office. This was surprising as NC has about the most lax voting standards anywhere, no ID needed. My daughter has lived in FLA for about 10 years and was only cleansed from the roles when they did my address check this year. (She didn’t vote in NC during that time anyway, but there are probably many who do.)
And if so, will Holder still be trying to stop Florida from checking their voter rolls?
...Meanwhile, the scumbag Democrats contiune to fight voter ID requirements, saying about vote fraud, “It’s not really that widespread actually.”
Found it ...never mind....
A "choker" form the "Joker" ?
the "o" just would stay on the rightside...
Voter Fraud at the Highest Levels of the ‘rat Party.
Heads Up!!!
Personal Issues?? Come on... you are a DEM...you should not quit!!
I thought DEMS embraced cheating!!!
A small business DEMOCRAT?? Isn't that an OXYMORON?
Unless she had a big business and Obama's economic policy made it into a small business.
That can’t be true. Vote fraud is a GOP myth and never really happens. Or does this this mean that MSNBC, CBS, CNN, and NPR are lying to us about that too?
But, But... but... if it only saves ONE illegal vote then it is worth it!!! Right?
Also college students who are of legal voting age and going to college out of state. Absentee ballot in home state, vote in person in state where going to college.
This is a loathsome crime. What can someone do that is more evil than work to enslave free people through fraud like this. What a sleazy POS to do this.
We should really jack up the penalities for registration and voter fraud in States where crooked judges block voter id. Foreigners who break our election laws should be immediately fined and deported and people who vote multiple times like this slug should look forward to prison time. SOS should be required to run ads warning about penalties for voter fraud - in English and foreign language news sites.
And I was talking about snowbirds, defined as people who maintain a residence up north as well as in Florida, rather than people who moved and gave up their old residence. Also, people who have vacation homes, students who still maintain their parents address as their permanent residence while living on campus, etc. No "change of address" notification to the Post Office would have been issued in the above cases.
For me, we’re WAY past that.
Public hanging.
