A Maryland Democratic candidate quit her congressional race Monday after her own party told state officials that she had committed fraud by voting in both Maryland and Florida in recent elections. Wendy Rosen, a small-business owner running against freshman Rep. Andy Harris (R) in the Eastern Shore-based 1st Congressional District, released a statement saying that with great regret, and much sorrow she was resigning from the contest.
Personal issues have made this the hardest decision that I have had to make, Rosen said Rosens announcement came the same day the state Democratic party released a letter to state Attorney General Douglas Gansler and state prosecutors reporting the allegations against Rosen.
The Maryland Democratic Party has discovered that Ms. Rosen has been registered to vote in both Florida and Maryland since at least 2006; that she in fact voted in the 2006 general election both in Florida and Maryland; and that she voted in the presidential preference primaries held in both Florida and Maryland in 2008, wrote Yvette Lewis, the state party chair. This information is based on an examination of the voter files from both states. We believe that this is a clear violation of Maryland law and urge the appropriate office to conduct a full investigation. A senior Maryland Democrat said the party had been tipped off this weekend by someone within the party about Rosens potential issue. After checking the allegation, the party contacted Rosen on Monday morning and urged her to quit. Local Democratic committees in the 1st district will now meet and vote on a new candidate to replace Rosen on the ballot. The new name must be submitted to the state by Sept. 27. Regardless of his opponent, Harris is considered a safe bet for reelection.

Maryland “Freak State” PING!
Make an example of her, prison five years.
nice necklace .. lottery balls ? fuzzy dice ?
Probably keeps her stash in them.
nobama will appoint her voting czar
They will put her in charge of the GOTV effort in Ohio.
How does that happen? ......Vote in person one place and absentee ballot in another. Truth be told, she probably voted in VA and DC with same day registration, too.
[ Some one told the State officials who then called the Democrat Party and told them and asked how they wanted it played in the media. ]
Yep. The media spin is so obvious it is nauseating.
Rumor has it shes coming to MN to be Al Frankens re-election campaign manager.
“She should be prosecuted, convicted, fined, and her voting privileges suspended for life.”
Not enough! She needs to go to jail like ole Lessadolla Sowers jus’ did. Five years in the slammer will make her think twice about doing it again.

There is one quick way to end voter fraud across this country"
“The snowbirds probably vote in person in Florida, and absentee from their northern location. I’m guessing that as long as the address stays the same, they will keep sending absentee ballots to that location.”
Yep that is why we call them snowbirds. They are down south to vote in person after mailing in their absentee ballots from up north. I call this the double vote tango.
It isn’t just the left winger snowbirds of the NE doing the double vote tango. The lefties from the midwest and Oregon and Washington head south during the last two weeks of October.
I5 South out here is loaded with south bound snowbirds heading to S California or Arizona during the last two weeks of October. If they are liberals they probably do the double vote tango
When all else fails, Democrats use the passive tense.
She broke the law. Is that a "personal issue"? Did a personal issue make her break the law? Did her law-breaking make her resignation a hard decision? Apparently, it was harder than deciding to break the law. Karma's a byotch.
And harder still would be a properly worded statement, such as, "I humbly apologize to the American people for breaking the law. It was a shameful act for which I take full responsibility, and which I do and will regret for years to come. Our nation's system of the Rule of Law requires each of us to stand up for the truth in our actions, especially in voting. I did wrong; and as a consequence it is only fair that I step down as your candidate.
