"I don’t think there’s any meat on their plates."

No, there are chicken breasts on the plates. The little girls chicken has been cut up (by mom, no doubt). Everyone elses is sitting there whole.

The subtle detail in this ad is incredible, just incredible.

The food is nice and fresh, no doubt bought before the news of the father being laid off. The next meal is the one in question. The family is warm and dry, still in their house, last month's mortgage bill no doubt paid. Next month's will be a challenge.

This ad must be put on every station. Every liberal Obamatard will feel personal shame watching this ad. The truth to liberals is like throwing a pail of water on the Wicked Witch of the West.

That's what I saw too. No meat.

Everyone seemed to be eating salad (iceberg lettuce with tomatoes and cottage cheese), plus a baked potato. Little daughter had a bread roll instead of a potato.

I was thinking the same thing. Plates look loaded, but with mashed potatoes and bread.

I remember those depression days, but I lived on a farm and we had eggs and chicken. Also butchered our own meat, had a big veg. garden, but went to the fruit stand to pick up the half rotted fruit.

I would always duck down in the car. My dad took them veggies, and they gave him the “gone” fruit and some money.
