This entire political situation can NOT end with Obama just losing the election this time.

My fellow countrymen, lend me your ears. Oh, that those of wealth and influence with a thread of morality left would rise up and lead the people to do something about these individuals who keep dragging our nation down to ruin. Just defeating Obama (and all of the well-connected individuals behind the scenes and media moguls who support him) in this election can NOT be the goal. To save ourselves we must defend a pro-God lifestyle.

It is becoming imperative that a pretty large group of people with all of these evil (yes, evil) beliefs and resulting ideas be separated from those of us who wish to live by a better standard. Before you overreact and start screaming about violation of political correctness, let me say: "Political Correctness be damned!" The other side only shouts political correctness to get approval for their evil agenda. Anyone trying to practice righteousness is immediately condemned.

The leftist, terrorist, immoral, lying side which booed God, is pro-abortion, pro-homosexuality, pro-Islamic (a religion that certainly doesn't tolerate those who believe in the Bible), welfare leeching, assassination-threat-making types need to live in their own society separate and apart from those of us who hold the opposite view. The two sides are incompatible and can not live in harmony. It's not going to happen. Either they will destroy us (it is becoming obvious that they want to kill us for disagreeing with them) or we will have to move them away from us or move away from them.

The nation needs to divide along a line somewhere and let people move to the side with which they share a belief system. I cannot live in an environment where people predominantly approve of an evil lifestyle. Contrarily, those who advocate that lifestyle can not tolerate my point of view. We have to get away from each other. My family was here first, generations ago, and I'm not willing to move. The irresistible force has met the immovable object. If this involves foreigners who have come here with the incompatible belief system, then that has to go. Saudi Arabia will not tolerate even the expression of Christian faith publicly. WHY do we tolerate the religion of Saudi Arabia HERE knowing once the numbers rise we're going to have violent conflict? Why do we tolerate homosexuality when the clear historical example of Sodom and Gomorrah shows us that homosexuals will assault people to get what they want or due to philosophical disagreement? How stupid.

The bottom line problem in this nation is that so many people will not go to church or study the Bible and therefore have little or no belief system. In that vacuum we have those with evil ideas pouring in. The solution is to turn back to God and invite the evil people to leave or leave ourselves to go somewhere to try and live in peace (New Pilgrims). Like Nineveh, if we all repent, then God will relent in regard to our destruction. If not, we will face violent conflict and will ultimately be destroyed, probably from within AND from outside enemies. Babylon, Sodom & Gomorrah, the symbols of immoral, anti-God living, are striking symbols of what happens to societies who completely reject God. I do not fear the leftist, anti-God side. I DO fear God.

It is time to stand for what is right, or, fall by what is wrong. Like Joshua said, "Choose you this day whom you will serve...as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."

[[ “Take the Senate Away From Voters”

That’s a MUST. It would be interesting to see what would happen if we could get that through Congress (or maybe bypass Congress, if needed) ]]

Huh?

Why don’t you learn a little bit about the Congress and the Constitution before you start posting stuff like this.

The 17th Amendment to the Constitution of The United States provided for Senators to be elected by popular vote in each state.

Congress cannot “bypass” that. Nor would it even TRY to.

The 17th Amendment is what it is.
It will never be repealed or changed, at least not in this country.

I’m a realist. And as the saying goes:
“Reality is what it is. It is NOT what we believe it to be.”

YOU WROTE:
“Why don’t you learn a little bit about the Congress and the Constitution before you start posting stuff like this...”I’m a realist. And as the saying goes:
“Reality is what it is. It is NOT what we believe it to be.””

Let’s start here by informing you that it is AGAINST THE RULES at FreeRepublic to engage in UNPROVOKED personal attacks. You’re welcome to disagree with me, and even point out if I’m wrong (although I’m not, in this case). You are the wrong site if you get on a thread just to attack people, personally, that you disagree with.

So, having dispensed with that advice, now on to your comments:

“The 17th Amendment to the Constitution of The United States provided for Senators to be elected by popular vote in each state.”

Correct.

“Congress cannot “bypass” that. Nor would it even TRY to.”

No, but they can pass an amendment and send it to the states, which is WHAT I SAID.

“The 17th Amendment is what it is. It will never be repealed or changed, at least not in this country.”

I’m sorry, but I learned in History class that Amendments can be repealed by future amendments. Prohibition was an example. So I believe you are incorrect here. Furthermore, I believe that states can call a Constitutional Convention without Congress having anything to do with it, and it nearly happened in the case of a proposed Balanced Budget Amendment in the 1980s, I believe.
(an example of how to disagree in a civil way)

If you find fault with what I say, that’s fine, but please learn to disagree in a civil manner, at least on this site.
