Speculation has surrounded a story published last week by the left-wing website AlterNet, purporting to tell the story of women who claimed Mitt Romney advised them in the 1980s, in his capacity as a church leader, against having abortions.
There is only one problem: the story is not new, and Breitbart News already discussed several aspects of the tale in January 2012, including the false claim that Romney had been insensitive to women in his congregation. One woman he had counseled against having an abortion, and who carried her baby to term, told Vogue in February she was grateful to Romney for his help, though she later decided to leave the Mormon church.
There is perhaps reason to believe that this is the tactic Allred is preparing to use against Romney--and that she may be doing so in coordination with the Obama campaign.
In a speech on Friday in Virginia, President Barack Obama unveiled a new attack against his rival, accusing him of Romnesia (Romney + amnesia) about his past positions. The media treated the word as an innovation.

Its over when you go to Gloria Allred to save your campaign.
And how would this be inconsistent with the pro-life position Romney has been taking the entire campaign? This would seem to reinforce the sincerity of his position thus eliminating the "surprise" factor of this being an October surprise.
CNN Blames GOP Reps for Women Saying Abortion Most Important Issue
I actually read this story and another one some time ago from a few women who made these claims. Perhaps, Gloria the Red will trot them out in front of the media and make a spectacle of them and try to derail the Romney train. I wonder how much money she might offer them and so what if a woman didn’t abort her baby = and then left the Mormon church. Big deal, people leave churches all the time for various reasons.
They surely are grasping at straws, aren’t they?
Gloria Allred: Proof that you can pimp out whores legally in any state as long as you’re a lawyer.
Women like johannson and diaz will be outraged... they will not understand why but their managers will tell them that they are and to reflect anger over it.
LLS
This wouldn’t help him with anyone but his base would it?
Why do you think Dems are doubling down on the “Republican War on Women!” nonsense, so late in the game??
Faked outrage about binders, etc?
They have something planned, and it doesn’t even matter if it’s true, if it is presented right.
Someone willing to scream “HARRASSMENT!”, or an illegal alien threatened with deportation if they don’t play along with Dems, that used to work for Romney, I’d guess.
That headline is misleading. I thought it was something like the Obama phones. Free phones - Free hookers
So this is it, the huge October scandal..A Mormon who tries and talks a woman out of an abortion...OH THE HORROR, Thomas Jefferson must be turning over in his grave at this outrage, at the attempt to steal those women’s God given liberty to kill their own children. I think that is why this did not surface sooner, its a total snoozer and worth about a plus .0000001 of one percent of the womens vote but a minus full percentage point against Magic Negroid for trying to pull this Current Affair chicanery.. I think Gloria got a call from Axelrod...”Umm Gloria, maybe no on that thing you were going to do”.
WHAT??!? The horror!! Romney advised the woman NOT to have an abortion!! How.. how... COULD he??
It just shows how the treason party is desperate as hell. They got nothing on the guy so they are going after the petty stuff. Next we’ll be hearing about how Mitt spilled his milk when he was a kid. That to them is more serious than an administration that takes security away from an embassy which allows an Ambassador and 3 Americans to get murdered by Islamo Nazis.
The most amazing part of this story, to me, is that the legacy media sincerely believes that TALKING against abortions thirty years ago is going to somehow hurt Romney’s chances of being elected president.
So, wait....he says he is anti-abortion and counseled pregnant women not to have abortions? Who would have thunk it?
Honestly, if this is their issue, they are delusional. Now, if he had counseled them TO GET abortions, that might have had some legs.
“Romnesia.” Yeah, that’ll do it.
