FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
November 10, 2012
Race for Florida’s 18th Congressional District Remains Undecided Stuart, FL – Today West for Congress released the following statement regarding the state of the race in Florida’s 18th Congressional District:
“With all provisional and absentee votes counted in the 18th District, Congressman West currently trails by roughly 2,400 votes, a margin outside of the threshold for an automatic recount. The race remains undecided because there are issues that still need to be resolved in St. Lucie County. Late on Election Night, Congressman West led by 1,700 votes. Following the St. Lucie County Supervisor of Elections’ decision to recount thousands of early ballots after a technical glitch, the margin shifted by 4,000. In order to ensure that votes were not doubled counted, we have requested that the St. Lucie Supervisor of Elections make public the poll check-in books to ensure the numbers of ballots cast matches the numbers of voters checked-in at the polls. Once that information is provided we believe the outcome of the election will be clear. It is troubling that days later that information is still not available. Our sole focus is ensuring all ballots were counted fairly and accurately.”

Ain't that the truth. I am reading your post through tears and laughter at the same time. Strange that. I guess it is just hopelessness in my lifetime for things to be set right here.

I am sure someone is busy right now in some secret room making sure that everything looks right. Names and signatures can still be added to the books and made to look like they put there on election day. Ballots can be re-created as need be. It can all be fixed.
I'm sure you're right.
I'm remembering the "LET US IN!! LET US IN!!" Republicans pounding on the doors in Dade (?) county in 2000 election, INSISTING that the travesty by halted. St. Lucie county has shut out and tried to shut down the Republican poll watchers.
DANG. If we don't riot in the streets now, when will we? Do ya'll need us in SFL?

Fair and honest elections is what EVERY honest American wants! .......................................... Disagree, there are elements in our Society that would be happy with a one party system where the only vote you cast is a Yes or a No. Formerly known as “Ja oder Nein”.

Thanks, Cong. West. I’ve been calling. We recognize that the GOPe led us to this point with his redistricting... I cannot fathom that “eat your own” mentality.

I plan to call RPOF tomorrow morning to ask if they are helping Allen West and if not, they NEED to do so immediately! But, are there others....SOE, Judges, etc....that we should call?
imho, there needs to be a massive outcry from ‘the people’ in order to get to accurate vote counts. We can begin with Congressman West’s contest. I believe there are many other similar situations all across the country. The Republican Party/Romney campaign should be challenging all of the questionable situations.

Jeanne, recently, I am receiving your posts in triplicate....the same post shows up 3 times in a row. Don’t know if it’s just me...my system... or another problem?? Thanks.

The recount is a show recount.
Only certain precincts on certain days have been recounted.
Meanwhile they reportedly have attempted to obscure the view of watchers. And the SOE will not release the results of their recount until one day before required. I guarantee it will be late in the day. The purpose is to prevent time to react.
It’s a travesty all right. It’s malfeasance. It’s a cover up. It’s a crime.

Why do you find it necessary to post everything three times? As dense as I might be, I can get the idea with just one posting.
