Florida Rep. Allen West the tea party pugilist and face of the class of House Republicans that stormed to power two years ago conceded Tuesday to 29-year-old construction executive Patrick Murphy in one of the nations highest-profile congressional races.
After two weeks of battle with St. Lucie County elections officials and a recount of early votes that wound up extending Murphys lead West acknowledged that he couldnt surmount his 1,904-vote, or 0.58 percent, deficit. Black November. I’ve been avoiding all news since Nov 6. I’m trying to adjust to the expectation of a much lower standard of living for the rest of my life than all my years of saving and planning and deferred gratification were supposed to warrant. I feel sick, and hopeless, and grief-stricken. I’m so grateful to men like Allen West, Mitt Romney, and Paul Ryan for subjecting themselves to the political process to try to help their country, and so sorry that it was all in vain.
I’m out of here at least for today; I’m sure this depressing post isn’t making anyone feel any better.
Given your track record with Palin predictions, that’s difficult to take seriously.
You would just love for Sarah Palin to fade away—but it ain’t happenin’. She’s here to stay. Get used to it.
That’s just it. The GOP establishment is busily kicking Allen West, Sarah Palin, The Tea Party, Rush Limbaugh, and others, to the curb! The very people and things that are about all the GOP has going for it. - The GOP establishment can persist in making the “changes” the Dhimmicrats dictate to them; but they’re on their own. If they’re set on never winning again (which is the predictable outcome if they do what the Democrats tell them to do - DUH!) then why am I agonizing about it. I voted for Dole, I voted for McCain, I voted for Romney . . this is not working!
