DON'T TRASH REAGAN TO SAVE ROMNEY
Brietbart ^ | Monday November 26, 2012 | By JENNY BETH MARTIN

Posted on 11/26/2012 4:30:15 PM PST by Bigtigermike

Ann Coulter, a long-time cheerleader for Mitt Romney, recently trashed the legacy of Ronald Reagan – and Americans who honor the legacy of Ronald Reagan – in a desperate attempt to deflect blame for Romney’s loss away from the candidate, and away from those who backed him.

Movement conservatives, Reagan conservatives, and tea partiers did not back Gov. Romney in the Republican primaries. Despite misgivings, when the GOP establishment chose Romney, these patriotic conservatives did not sulk or stay home. They walked through fire for Romney and formed the backbone of his base and ground game. They gave their all to their country, they volunteered their time, they donated what they could to a candidate they did not choose, and they voted for him. Why? Because they put the future of the country ahead of their own personal interests.

Which is something Ann Coulter may want to try. What did these millions of Reagan conservatives and tea party conservatives get in return for their time, dedication, and votes? They got shut out and ignored at the GOP convention (the words “tea party” were never mentioned), and now they’re getting blamed for Romney’s loss by his #1 cheerleader, Ann, whose latest screed “ROMNEY WAS NOT THE PROBLEM” also slammed the legacy of Ronald Reagan.

This is ironic, because Ann’s candidate rarely missed an opportunity to wrap himself in Ronald Reagan’s legacy for his own benefit.

Sorry, Ann, but you're making me so angry that I'm going to post this again--for what seems like the 200th time this year.

good idea, save them for when I run out of firewood, pages would make a good starter.

Sure wish Ann was reading all this.......rofl.

Oh yeah, I have some O'Reilly books that will burn real good as well. Local Library already has a ton of them, nobody checks them out. hahaha

Well there was a power play between Weinberger (Along with his #1 lackey, General Powell, lol, who did not want to ruffle the feathers of Muslims) and Shultz (who wanted to decimate the Muslims) . Reagan decided to go in but use the non-aggressive force that was urged by Weinberger/Powell. These two fools convinced Reagan to go in soft, hence Reagan was ultimately responsible for that idiotic decision.

Reagan was nice but Harding/Coolidge were to tops of limited government Presidents in the 20th Century. If Herbert "The Moderate" Hoover was not such a Statist, the Harding/Coolidge era would have shined even brighter. Goes to show you of how moderates can really screw up a good situation.

I am ridding my library of all her books.

Now what to do with them..... 1. donate to local library... 2. Sell in garage sale.......3...TRASH BIN.

suggestions?

Donate them to your local library--she won't like that, especially if they make it into the collection.

At a book signing, I told her that since I had a say in collection development at the library where I worked, I would make sure her book was added to our collection. To my surprise, she expressed disappointment, saying that sales would be hurt if the book was available in the public library.

I found this attitude to be rather short-sighted. Most authors want their books in public library collections, and many go to considerable efforts to convince libraries to purchase their books and to get patrons to check them out and read them.

Ann writes entertaining polemics, which gives her f-u money to go out on cable and pop off about anything, at which she is decidedly less entertaining than her books.

And her personal life is a real piece of work, a book in itself...

I don’t think that the President of the United States set the policy for the Marines guarding the gates to their own base, to keep the magazines out of their rifles.

Besides, the security of the Marine headquarters should not depend solely on two guys having to insert a magazine before trying to stop a truck coming to blow up the high rise barracks and kill 241 people.

she expressed disappointment..........rofl

Well then, I may just have to add to her grief. Going over tomorrow, I will see just how many they already have. One on the shelf is more than enough, lol

I know they have plenty of O'Reilly's books, best used as a fire starter now.

Mostly I think the libraries can't even give these books away themselves.

When Rush was breaking book sales records with his first book, we had to pressure our library to purchase any.

Yeah, this followed her article on Drudge: MY NEW BOOK, MUGGED IS OUT. AVAILABLE FOR ORDER ONLINE Sorry Annie, burned out by the GOP-e.
Also there, lead article: `Treasury borrowed 24+ billion the day after Thanksgiving’. It’s like a nightmare you can’t wake up from, starring McCain as our fearless undead leader.
Just damn

Who is ultimately responsible for ROEs in the chain of command? Like history stated, Weinburger convinced Reagean to go in soft and Reagan did just that.

Now, we are stuck with no reforms, only more spending with higher taxes, less freedom and a CIC who is not loyal to the country.

That pretty much sums it up. The GOP-e and their cheerleaders are to blame. They are getting ready to impose Jeb on us. We must resist.
