Outgoing Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, in announcing his stepping-down from his federal job, said the time has come for him to be with his family at his walnut farm where he can deal “with a different set of nuts,” which prompted laughter from the audience.

So, how long was he in his role as Defense Secretary? Before that he led the CIA. A great disservice to the country results when political hacks don’t stay in a job long enough to learn what their job is all about.
Panetta will pack up and leave town to avoid tough questioning about our failing security policy. Like he did before when he worked for Clinton, he'll head back to Monterey where he hauls in a cool $350,000 a year plus expenses running the liberal Leo Panetta policy center and discussion group at the local UC Campus and indoctrination center on the old Ft. Ord property. Gubmint been very, very good to Leon!
