Chávez has lost his voice completely as a result of medical treatment. His vocal cords have endured permanent damage making recuperation highly unlikely.

I don’t think he’s lost his voice at all. I think he’s been in a coma; hooked up to life support. He can’t talk because he’s out of it. My humble opinion.
