In the first three months of the year, members of the first family have been on three vacations, averaging a vacation a month. And now it's being reported that the first daughters are on a spring break vacation in the Bahamas.

I recall a conversation I had with a local during one of my African assignments, regarding the endless succession of corrupt African leaders that had afflicted his country. When asked why such leaders seemed so pervasive throughout Africa, he seemed genuinely puzzled as to why anyone would have to ask. “It’s what they always do.
